The Great Eckscape got a reaction from The Gaffer from the Rock in i think we need a new striker
We all get frustrated, but I personally struggle with people who are happy to lay on the blame and criticism but seem uninterested to give out the praise and positivity when we do well.
We lost to Aveley who hadn't won in 8 matches and we've had a very long and interesting thread develop (which has been very refreshing I must say!)
We beat a Wingate side who hadn't been beaten since March and there were 4 posts!
Is this negative outlook a representation of football fans in general or something specific to CIFC?

Any calls for Batchy's head are crazy in my opinion, as Charlie says, we were 1 point from the playoffs last season. The performances haven't been good this season as we've all agreed, but we're 9 games into a 42 games season. Also, as much as I've just criticised a few players on Tuesday night - they haven't become bad players, they're just out of form or short of fitness in my opinion. People like Alex Rhodes are obviously class, but just in a rut at the moment. He'll get over it and be as good as always I'm sure, we just have to be patient.
Here's a question for you......as Canvey fans, do we take more pleasure in talking about what we do badly as opposed to what we do well? Are we all doom & gloom merchants? I see & hear some fans at games that never shout a word of positivity, yet are the first ones to start shouting when things are going badly. Have we been so spoilt during the King period that we're generally an ungrateful bunch to whom nothing short of winning every match playing like Brazil will be good enough for us?

I remember it well, especially the incredible chipped goal by Stimson - sheer class!

The question is, which of your players will see what we've got at our place and line up a move for next season....

He could be a useful backup player for Southend (maybe he could play for us on loan until they need him!)

Did he f**k, I was talking to Rusty on Facebook and it just came to me, it would have been in the Margate programme had I not asked you to put it back because of work commitments the week before Konk puts all the pictures up in the changing room!!

How very right you were Gaffer! Funny how these things happen in football!
Delighted with another clean sheet and another 3 points today. Both sides had chances to score further goals, but I'll take a 1-0 all day long! No midweek game, I hope the lads take it easy before home matches against Hendon and Croydon, where we have to be aiming to take another 6 points on our own turf.
Great atmosphere today from the Yellow Army, top draw support!

The Great Eckscape got a reaction from Canvey Fan 1926 in Sky Sack Andy Gray!
Loads of videos coming out of Gray and Keys saying stuff like this. When I watch them I think "would I get away with saying that where I work", and the answer would almost certainly be no. I don't think they should be any different, saying these things down the pub is one thing, saying them at a place of work is something else, regardless if the conversation was thought to be private or not.
