Stuntman Mark's Achievements

  1. 100% There are 30 stone guys on the sidelines who can barely tie their own shoelaces critiquing the workrate of guys like him. He was brilliant today.
  2. What a great result, the sort of game you would love to play in. Amazing character from the team, I can't praise them enough for the point they got today.
  3. I wish those three lads every success at Beaconsfield and have no doubt they will make a great success of it, as they did with us. Time for us as a club to looks forwards and not back.
  4. Yeah 3-0 was harsh but poor defending and finishing cost us today. Having said that, hats off to George Alexander for them who might have put together the best individual performance against us this year. I thought their keeper was excellent too. Credit to us that we kept going until the end and didn't down tools like we did against Hungerford and Eastbourne.
  5. Transfermarkt tells me Sweden. Will be tricky to get that to scan but hasn't stopped us before!
  6. Has Moe got any Eyptian in him? I can feel a song coming on...
  7. Yes we were disappointing today so I am happy with a point and to remain invincible in 2023. The team has had a great shape and structure under Scott after a couple of difficult games at the start but that was not evident today. We deserved a draw, but like last week, we should have done better.
  8. Can't fault the effort from the boys today, we just couldn't find that final bit of quality from a tight game that we just about edged I think. Amartey and Lench were excellent again today and I though Elliot Benyoun was really good behind the front two as he was when we won up at Oxford. I'd say we are currently a midfield ball winner short in the team with Kuhl out for the season. Enjoyed my first visit to Cheshunt. Friendly set up, excellent bar and a loud home support. Quite enjoyed the half time music selection too.
  9. A massive win for the Rebels, a fortunate penalty which we actually scored and a really fun game of football that was never really in doubt! Fair play to Dulwich who rarely travel in numbers from what I've seen but probably brought the most away fans to Arbour Park this year and made some decent noise for a change. As well as we played today, they wouldn't stay down and gave us a very nervous last ten minutes. What a fantastic job Scotty Davies and Lee Togwell have done to steady the ship over a difficult and uncertain period for the club over the last few months. Both Slough Town legends who will hopefully be involved in the club for year to come. I think Scott can go on to be a good manager at this level and maybe even beyond if he wants to, I really like what I've seen so far and that we are trying to play a bit more and have a more structured, consistent formation and shape. Scott is such a nice bloke that everyone loves but has shown a bit of ruthlessness this week in pursuit of team goals which I also like. I'd like to see what he can do with a full preseason and maybe a few extra quid in the budget but the whole squad we have now have shown a bit of character recently and given us a bit of hope in the last few games. Really impressive performances from Lench and Goddard this afternoon. Both looked confident and played some of their best football for the club this season. Matty Lench has found another level since Oxford away and has been brilliant in the middle of the park, scoring a great goal today, possibly an assist too but Dulwich couldn't get near him. Such a great player to watch when he's at it like today and deservedly got the man of the match award and again looked very at home in centre mid. Some of the football we have played last 3-4 games have been really enjoyable to watch, we maybe just now need to tighten up a bit at the other end. Amartey and Obi are a really exciting, fresh pairing up front with some pace and aggression who have changed the dynamic of team and could be a handful for any defence in this league. Would love us to bring Amartey back permanently next season. He has always looked a threat for us, that's 2 in 2 now for him I think. I feel he could be a 20+ goalscorer for us if given a chance. Brilliant that Obi is off the mark too as I think he's looked good since signing but strikers need goals and hopefully that's the first of many for us now. Very pleased with those two signings. Today felt like a new start for the club. New owners, new managers, the biggest home crowd of the season, good away support and a rare home win and a very entertaining game which we just about won in the end to get a massive 3 points. I felt we were dead certs for relegation a month ago but it looks like we have managed to put together a decent squad at short notice who are up for the fight and I'm getting more confident we can stay up if we can keep up the level of intensity and performance from the last couple of games. That and concede less goals. Today felt likes a pre-pandemic game at Arbour Park with a good crowd and players and fans all 100% and up for it. Let's hope we can keep that momentum going for the rest of the season and into the next one wherever that may be. I brought a couple of Slough ex-pats to the game today and they loved it. More of that in 2023. Finally, really depressing to read about possible racist abuse towards a Dulwich player from a Slough fan this morning. As fans I hoped we were better than that.
  10. I'm happy for us to play tomorrow. Form and availability are as good as they've been for a while and we had a relatively light workout on Saturday.
  11. Was the number 18 Leon CP? I agree he looked good second half and if it is Leon, look to have filled out a bit since I saw him last. Spoke to Aaron Kuhl in the bar and he'll have his results on Tuesday but was optimistic it might not be as bad as first feared. We'll see.
  12. 4 points from these two fixtures are 4 more than I expected so I am more than happy with the last two games given issues we've had with injuries, availability and players jumping ship recently. We were very good again first half today, yet had to find a way to salvage a draw from a game we had seemed to let slip away. Great character from the players to get a point from there when most of us were talking about being happy with the 3 points away to them. The team has looked to give everything they have in the last two games and that's all you can ask. Every player his doing his bit when asked right now. Scotty Davies is starting to build his own team with a new shape and identity that's quite enjoyable to watch and he's had the whole squad up for it, playing well and fighting for the shirt over the Christmas period. Obi and Woodhouse are great additions. That Chentouf lad has also had a great impact off the bench Boxing Day and today. Lench, Kuhl and Benyon all upped their levels last few games. Kayani and Gabe thriving when given a crack. Well done to the whole squad on putting some smiles on our faces over Christmas!
  13. Alfonso was superb. Two very typical goals for him, particularly the second which he kind of materialised for himself through chasing a lost cause. If I had to be critical, he might have had a couple of assists if his final ball was a bit better today but he and Obi were a handful all game.
  14. We were superb today given the makeshift line up and without an out an out defender on the pitch, I couldn't quite believe how well we performed in this one. Easily our best performance of the year, with several players having their best games of the season. Special shout to Lee Togwell who was superb in the centre of defence and my man of the match, which was a very hard call for all the right reasons. More of that next year please.
