  1. IF afc let him play, then that is poor management. and i dont think brownie is going to put a season at risk. Personally, I know JT, and he will not sign, as rumour has it next week is due to play Mansfield in the BSP. Not sure he or the club would risk their second choice go at this time of the season....
  2. Horrible injury, hope he recovers soon! Are people referring to Jack Turner by any chance?
  3. I can quite catorgorically say they do not have a midweek team. Their team last night involved the same players that made them top of the suburban League. I know most of the players and they play on Saturdays as well as midweek. It wasnt a weaker side but from playing with most of these players at the beginning of the season, Marcus didnt choose the right team for that game. think you will see when 1st team are not in midweek action 3/4 squad players have played take last midweek game. had 3 1st team squad players playing. there is nothing wrong with that, why do teams run reserve sides. Of course that happens im not saying it doesnt but i played there at the beginning of the season, my brother is first team player there and i know Gayley very well and all of the players very well. When i watch them play there is rarely first team players playing other than when they need to get fit etc as what should happen at any club as imo is the correct way to run a club.

  5. A SON OF ONE OF MY MATES WHO PLAYS FOR AFC RESERVES, INFORMS ME THAT IT APPEARS THAT MARCUS GAYLE HAS MADE A FEW APPEARANCES THIS SEASON AND MAYBE STARTING IN THE FINAL TOMORROW.......HE'S ASKED ME TO GO AND WATCH TO SEE WHAT I THINK OF HIS SON AND THE STANDARD, SO MIGHT JUST DO THAT AND SEE MOLLY11 ....IF SELECTED ..........HA HA ! ONE CONCERN THO', ANOTHER HORRENDOUS MIDWEEK JOURNEY.............. I think your mate is feeding you duff info NG. Don't think Gayle has appeared for the reserves this season and I don't think he's likely to make one tomorrow! He's 40 years old, so would look slightly out of place I think. TRS SO DID MARCUS GAYLE PLAY ......... LOL ! Marcus didnt play!! Wouldnt have made much difference either IMO. Well played to South Park, very disciplined performance, organised and made it hard for Wimbledon to play their usual fast football. Referee was awful, was all about him on the night, i think the only player he didnt book was Rhino!!
  6. cant wait for Friday either actually! Good chance to have a look at South Park, especially as we have them in a few weeks in the league!
  7. Good Luck to South Park but I will be supporting the Dons, it must be said. My brother is a Dons player so cant support anyone else im afraid, but never the less best of luck South Park
  8. Went to South Park v Bedfont Sports the other day, very impressed by what i saw. South Park started off the better i must say but after the sending off of the centre half for SP and keeper for BS, BS went on to kill the game. Saman Kamani (hopefully spelt right) was different class. great feet. joe johnson will be a great signing as this proved on saturday. One thing that i did enjoy in second half was a free kick. an indirect free kick. the referee clearly had his hand up for the free kick, but the south park centre forward went for goal. the goal keeper (bearing in mind he started upfront) casually allowed the ball to go in the back of the net to the astonishment of everyone in the ground i think. Obviously the result was a goal kick to BS. Very genius for a centre forward come keeper who had already had 2 head clashes in the first half before taking the gloves. Over all though very impressed by Bedfont Sports and maybe could be contenders by the end of season. Promising.
