  1. Well said Barney. Onwards and upwards with three points in the North London Derby on Tuesday
  2. I never like to be ultra critical as we've had a great season and still have got a great chance to get into the play-offs but today was a major off day... We looked far too narrow and didn't stretch an organised Stortford team by getting the ball out wide to the wings... LDV played alot of first half in centre midfield which didn't work.. lots of balls down the centre which their number 6 lapped up and headed back near enough everytime. He was their MOM. You could see why Stortford don't lose many games - Organised, hard working, don't give away many chances. File under "forget about it and move on" I think...
  3. Impressive win in difficult windy blustery conditions against a tough hard working B&P side. Their right midfielder Quentin Monville (number 7) looked decent and got alot of crosses in looking for their target man Lewis Manor (number 9). B&P had a shout for a penalty in 1st half... I didn't see it but their fans behind the goal seemed to think it was a penalty. Lyles free kick was decent. Sam Youngs goal was contender for goal of the season. 0-3 up at HT. Bowers had a decent spell and came back into it with a goal in 2nd half. Town could of scored a few more.... Cass got the goal he deserved from his work rate and running right at the end played in by Percy. Really looking forward to the Strortford game..
  4. Ken Charles has moved from Cheshunt to King's Lynn Town in the National League... contracted until June 2023
  5. Fantastic performance against a very good footballing side with some talented players.... Work rate was immense from every player. PK was amazing and deserved MOM award.
  6. OT - you can't really complain on not having a good cup run.... we narrowly lost to a Step 2 side away from home? Hopefully the FA Trophy will give the club some decent money... £3000 to the winners on Saturday
  7. First Half we controlled the game with a switch to 3-5-2 (ish) from Saturday. Percy shadowed their swift number 7 and kept him quite. We should of been 0-2 up. Second Half Hadley came into the game. Pressed towards the end and pushed for an equaliser. Good atmosphere at the game. Positives - we're through and some good prize money. Billy coming on as sub and his return to the team. Chelmsford will be tough of course as they have some very experienced players but no reason why we can't get a result.
  8. Nice to see you posting stuff Rhodes. Hope you are well. I've not looked the forum for a few months. Great result for Bladock.
  9. Nigel Neita has joined Sunday League youtube side SE DONS
  10. Mark Bentley is the new boss of Canvey Island
  11. We are all eagerly awaiting Albury Walker's comments regarding the match?
  12. http://www.hertsad.co.uk/sport/football/good-start-to-life-at-london-colney-for-new-management-1-5114324 Good article on London Colney and Ken Charlery here
  13. Play offs in Div One would be a positive I think. Bottom three in Prem go down Top Two in D1 go up and then maybe 4th plays 5th and winner of that plays at 3rd and the winner goes up. Only potential 2 extra games?
  14. All we've got to do is get behind the new boss whoever it may be... I'm sure there will be lots of interest. Undoubtedly we will lose some of the team and a few may follow Brad but that's the nature for footie...
  15. Vauxhall Man.... rather harsh comments in my opinion. I'm sure all the board members didn't want Brad to go but at the end of the day he's been given a great opportunity to manage a club he played over a decade for and over 500+ times in a higher Division. What more could they have done to keep him at The Town?
