  1. There are 12 promotion slots avaluable but only 10 league winners have the ground grading which leaves 2 runners up spots for the other 2 spaces avaluable and on the points per game ratio us and Whitley bay have the best records which can't be matched or beaten during the remainder of the season so this is why we belive we have one of the 2 extra promotion slots!
  2. A very evenly contested derby ended in a great win for the boys and now with what we think is official conformation of promotion our last game in the ccl, congratulations to Spencer, matty p and all the boys on a good season and if we believe were going up why shouldn't we celebrate!!! Congratulations to Guildford on winning the league they have been the best team and most consistent all season so are deserved winners
  3. from all the supporters behind the goal, we wish bradders a quick, speedy recovery and hopefully will be wearing the (lovely pink) keeper shirt for chertsey very soon
  4. Chertsey 1.3 mvscr Fully deserved win out played and out classed, no club record 13 straight wins and now probably out of title race, massive chance to close gap as I believe Guildford drew.......... Great run by us so well done to the lads
  5. was at the guildford game last night and can agree with the guildford city comments, guildford didnt look at there best but managed to get a very good result agaisnt a normally hard to break down egham side. egham playing pommers up top on his own 1st half was always going to be hard especially as the service up to him was at short supply, when matt grave came on in the second half egham looked a lot more dangerous going forward and could have scored on a couple of occassions but the guildford defence held firm, lets hope we can win saturday as we will break a club record of 13 straight wins!
  6. wembley 0.1 chertsey (page) this result is just as big as saturdays win agaisnt guildford as chertsey were made to work very hard for another 3 precious points and with it regained top spot for the time being. the game started at a fast pace, probably due to the slick playing surface. both teams looked very dangerous going forward in the early exchanges and craig bradshaw in the chertsey goal was forced to make many important saves to keep the score at 0.0, as the half drew to a close chertsey started to take control and press forward a lot more and create many chances but were unable to make the breakthrough. the second half saw chertsey start brightly and they enjoyed lots of possesion but only really created half chances but the goal finally came mid way through the second when the ball was played into marcus moody, who held the ball up and laid a pass to phil page on the edge of the box who smashed the ball past the wembley keeper to give chertsey a deserved lead, the rest of the game was dominated by defences as chertsey mopped up all of wembleys attempts to equalise and chertsey just couldnt find the killer goal as the game ended just before 10pm (delayed kick off due to no linesman) and hand chertsey a massive 3 points and you could see the delight on matty pattersons face at the final whistle.
  7. No new signings to note is what I mean and yes it's nice to see players from this level as iv seen us play at all levels over 17 years and can safely say this is the hardest league to get out of and players with good knowledge of ccl is the way forward if we want to push for promotion come may.
  8. no signings for chertsey but was nice to see phil page turn down whyteleafe to stay with us, im sure the money wasn't an issue as they were probably offering a similar wage
  9. Chertsey 3-0 Guildford (page, moody, papali pen) First of all congratulations to Guildford on there unbeaten record Chertsey continued there quest for the title with the demolition of previously unbeaten Guildford, the first half was doninated by Chertsey and they could have been 3/4 goals to the good but had to settle for 2 thanks to goals from the in form phil page and birthday boy Marcus moody, the second half was more even and Guildford always looked dangerous on the break but never really threatened the Chertsey goal apart from a couple of smart saves from craig Bradshaw, and as always at 2.0 the next goal is crucial and it went to the curfews as phil page was bundled over in the box, up stepped Dean papali who waited for the keeper to dive and chipped the ball down the middle to secure 3 important points for Chertsey and end a fantastic run from Guildford.
  10. Chertsey 3 (page, charlerey, papali) Egham. 1 (pomroy) Draw probably fair result but 2 late Chertsey goals seal derby day victory, Egham dominated first half after Chertsey scored early and inevitably pommers makes it 1.1 half time, more even second half and a stunning strike across the Egham keeper by Trevor charlery and a delightful Philip Albert like chip by Dean papali seal 3 crucial points for Chertsey.
  11. Chertsey 1.2 Epsom Another poor Chertsey performance as they fall to yet another defeat, which surely now puts them out of the title race............
  12. Chertsey 3.4 tooting (aet) Chertsey take 2.0 lead through a phil page double and look comfortable but 2 quick goals get tooting level, tooting then take lead in extra time only for a Matt Baxter header to get Chertsey level, and so to penalties or so we throught, tooting nick tie with last kick of game!
  13. Chertsey v tooting looks likely to get the go ahead for anyone who wants a game
  14. Chertsey 1.0 ash (Moody) Very tight game which could have gone either way but a late Marcus moody header on his 100th appearance for Chertsey settled matters in a very dull game on a very sluggish pitch!
