  1. Posts also have a tendency to come back and bite dt!!!
  2. Officials are paid to apply the laws of the game, players are asked to carry out instructions of the manager and coach. Officials are graded by the govening body, (many too highly to 'fasttrack' them) some players are at a club due to circumstances (availability not ability!). You cannot compare the two Kroons!!!
  3. There seems to be quite a few comments about the performance of the officials?! so early in the season? Is there a reason for this? Did they have a poor pre-season? Are they under different pressures from the league or FA? It does not bode well for the rest of the season!!!
  4. Video technology is now being used to develop players and assist coaches, it is also used to discipline players and in the appeals process, I wonder if they will use this video to highlight 'refereeing' issues to this and all referees? Be interested to know if any official knows of this happening?
  5. Bit like the players then eh Ftfc. Interesting that the referee at Ash v Horley was consistent and he got slated too. I presume if they are bad every week you will be happy BTW Ace I agree it should have been a red card. Fairly obvious and I would be interested to know if he was being assessed and if so the thoughts of the assessor. Slightly different point Kroons, the referee had a 'Coach' (his words) in the changing rooms for the managers brief!! Never heard of that before? Not a good coach either in my opinion!!! I presume then Ace that no player that you have ever coached has made a bad mistake I would love to say no but then i'd be lying!

  7. Farnham should have also had a penalty so that evens that one out! Still does not explain why your skipper stayed on the field!!! Not many referees have opinions today? Amazing that!
  8. DT10, He gave a free kick and a yellow, should have been a red, no one (not even Kroons) could argue with that and then it's a different game 10 v 11! Just because it early in the game should not have been a factor!
  9. Would any of the referees brigade like to explain Why the centre half was not sent off in the opening seconds of this video?!? Laws of the game?!? Well done TRS, great footage
  10. Worst rule I have ever heard from the FA! I know the officials are only implementing the Laws but all this will do is cause arguments and resentment at the start of the game! Are the officials going to use 'interpretation' like they do on the field of play???
  11. Wantage Town v Farnham Town Kick off at 1500hrs
  12. There are many differences between the Prem and Div 1 however the most noticeable are the teams are better organised, sets pieces etc, and the individual quality you come up against in the Prem. Teams in the top six have individuals that can win you games with moments of individual quality! I also believe that the management and the players have to commit more in the Prem, no more turning up, no training and winning games!!!
  13. Smudge, is that genuine? If so, it gets worse and worse!!! Undershorts and now tape, another waste of time for all involved in the game!!!!
  14. HKP, it will be interesting to see if your team of 'vicars' keep the language down when things are not going so well and you start losing games!?! When things go wrong, tempers flare and people swear!!! Fact of life! Our side is run on discipline and I wouldn't like to be a player on the end of our coach 'Big Fals' toungue if they were to be cautioned for swearing. In fact I would go as far to say that player wouldn't be picked for a while if he did. So I would say when we hit our level and start losing as much as we are winning our discipline won't change. GD, The CC Prem League is quicker, with better players and it will be a lot more physical, I hope you do keep your discipline? The proof will be at the end of season awards when you collect the Fair Play League Award!!!

  16. Smudge, Why should Guernsey's home fixtures be 'drawn lots at the AGM'? Lets not treat anyone differently! Lets allow the league to allocate fixtures in the normal way, which has always been fair, so why change it just for Guernsey?
  17. Totally agree, we all know the rules at the start; finish in the bottom three then your relegated! Too many clubs, throughout various leagues, given a reprieve this season!!!
  18. Smudge; I would have to agree with the issue on playing surfaces. It's fine having smaller pitch's and trying to improve skill by having more touches but this cannot be achieved when we are trying to coach this to kids on playing surfaces which resemble the Somme! The FA must spend money on improving facilities for this whole new plan to work! I heard heard that this could be resolved by introducing 3G pitch's? Who's paying for that???
  19. MT, have you not got an assistant, assistant job a a CCL team for next season? Just a bit concerned about your perception of your players before you've even started there?!
  20. FOF...i think the real point out of all of this must be...individuals on the committee are paid to do their jobs by the league/fa...so whoever is responsible for the issuing/updating of the league rules at the start of each season is ultimately at fault for all of this....because how can their be references to old competitions/divisions in this current seasons rules?....surely it must mean that that person is culpable and just plain not doing their job properly....bedfont may be at fault...but we will all only know that if this player plays in the final or not...if he does then for me that means that no rules have even been broken...if not then i for one will be suspicious! BB, agree with you, sums it up well.
  21. Smudge; I am not aware of anyone from Farnham Town being on the league committee. I believe that the details were discussed with Farnham by the league to inform that Bedfont had broken the rules (allegedly!!!) and that Farnham would then be re-instated. Rules are Rules and we all know that Bedfont have played the wording quite well! From experiance; what goes around!!!
  22. NM, Ha Ha Ha, Farnham now running the league!??? Best comment i've seen on here in ages!!!!!
  23. I see the league/FA have re-instated Bedfont Sports in to the Ressies cup final after initially kicking them out! Seems they knew they shouldn't have played someone but they did anyway and then got through on a "play on words"!!!! Expected a bit more from BSFC!!!!!
  24. Ha ha As always, so do I!!!
