    Chelsea and Staines Lammas
  1. Footballsback you lost all pre season games bar one didn't you? And that was against Virginia water.
  2. I was surprised of the Lammas result when I heard it as i watched them the week before and they were awful and took apart by Laleham. I had tipped staines for relegation this year when hearing that the whole of the Staines team left in the summer when the new manager arrived. No Liam Stone, Gav and Stu Bamford, Redrup and co all leaving. So I expect them to have a tough season as it looked like they had a lot of youngsters now and I only recognised one player from last season there now. Hopefully there be ok as I've enjoyed watching them over the years. Just a shame last years players didn't give the new manager a chance.
  3. Spelthorne keep winning, surely gotta be the favourites for this league?
  4. Ashford v Lammas was the most embarrassing game I have ever watched. Wouldn't surprise me If Staines were bottom 3 this year. I'm hearing low numbers at training every week. Didn't recognise hardly anyone at that game, where last years team has gone is beyond me.
  5. Staines Lammas v Knaphill @Matthew Arnold school this Saturday.
  6. I heard the Kilburn manager kicked off aswell
  7. I see on twitter club members voted them out.
  8. Talking of players been looked at, I was told the other day Jake Flatman at Spelly is being watched by football league clubs and has been offered a trial at Coventry.
  9. Banstead 1-4 Lammas The game was a lot closer than the score line suggests, Staines had to grit their teeth hard and fight their way into the div 1 final for the second year running. Staines going up the hill first half was put under pressure from the start with Stone making some decent saves. 10/15 mins into the game staines started to get a grip on the game and were creating chances with Gav Bamford and Jack Watts missing great opportunities to put Lammas ahead. Gary James worked his socks off all game and created the first goal for staines when he put in Jules Mngadi to put Lammas 1-0 up at the break. Second half Banstead are out flying and got their rewards when a mistake on the half way line allowed there striker to run clean through and lob the standing Stone in goal. Lammas were rattled but managed to go ahead when Gary James smashed home the second. Banstead had a good penalty shout which was turnt down by the ref but from where I was standing I thought it was a pen. Lammas made it 3 when hard working Bamford slotted past the Banstead keeper. On loan Staines striker Joey Hughes wrapped up the win with a delightful left footy finish from outside the box. Redrup nearly made it 5 with a crashing volley off the bar. Only sour point a 22 man brawl in the 90th which escalated out of nothin but was jay handbags really. Staines for me still look a shadow of their old self but a few weeks to prepare for the two finals and hopefully turn a disappointing season into a not so bad season with two cups. A possible bank holiday tie with Spelly at Windsor when could be a cracker.
  10. You can't blame the management they can only field who turn up and are avaliable. Fact of the mattter is we have some decent players down Staines but fact is we have too many big time Kents who think there bigger than the club. I feel sorry for the management. There ain't any excuses if promotion isn't achieved. It will be an absolute faikure
  11. Thought it was a well contested game today Lammas looked a bit rusty after a few weeks out as did Croydon. Lammas missed a penalty in the first half from Ben Jacob, Croydon scored on the run of play with a well taken header. Lammas immediately replied with a superb chip from Gary James. The game went into extra time and Vinny Hodge scored in the 119th minute with a 25 yrd worldie to nick it, thought Redds was absolutely different class today. Wasted at this level. Liam stone too.
  12. Lammas v Sandhurst for me tomorrow and hoping too see that New signing Matt Baker has signed on time to bang some goals in!!!
