  1. Suffolk definitely hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Town this season, with only one point from nine to show from our visits, and everyone will be hoping we can make it fourth time lucky, when we travel to Bloomfields to face third placed Needham Market, in the Ryman Premier Division, tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. Needham are having a very good season, have only lost twice at home to date, and are in with a very realistic chance of making the play-offs. Back in December we played out a 3-3 draw with them at Donkey Lane. Whilst undoubtedly this will be another stiff test for Town, we have turned in some excellent away performances this campaign, and it is worth noting that last season we went up and beat Needham 2-3 at Bloomfields. Funny old game football - look at Barcelona this week - anything is possible! Very best of luck to Brad and the boys, and everyone else travelling up to Suffolk tomorrow. Let's do the business guys! 'COME ON YOU TOWN'
  2. After Tuesday evenings thriller against Billericay, Town face another tough test tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, when they host second-placed Havant & Waterlooville in the Ryman Premier Division, on The Hawks first every visit to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. Inconsistency, and a disappointing sequence of results, may have badly hit our own chances of reaching the play-offs this season, but you rest assured Town will be going flat out to win as many of our nine remaining matches as possible. Back in November, Town travelled to Westleigh Park and beat Havant 0-2. It was a close, physical game, and if that encounter is anything to go by, a hum-dinger of a match is in prospect tomorrow afternoon, in front of what should be a good-size crowd. To mark next weeks International Women's Day (8th March), and support the much publicised 'Women at the Game' initiative, Enfield Town are offering FREE admission to all women and girls at tomorrows match. A great chance to come along to a live match, support your local team, and make new friends. Best of luck to Brad and the boys. Let's deliver another high energy performance, take our chances, and do yourself justice guys! See you there folk! 'COME ON YOU TOWN'
  3. After our impressive showing on the South coast last weekend, Town hit the road again tomorrow, this time to the East coast, where they will face mid-table Lowestoft Town in the Ryman Premier Division at Crown Meadow, fishing for maximum points to revive our play-off chances. Tomorrow afternoon would be a really good time to start putting the records right. In five previous games against the Trawler-boys, we have not yet managed to chalk up a win, home or away. Our record is three draws and two defeats. Everything points to another difficult match, but this time we are in with a reasonable chance. Since the turn of the year Lowestoft's form has been pretty patchy, and we will definitely be in with a fair chance, if we play with the same passion and determination shown at Worthing. Worth mentioning that back in December, Worthing won 0-4 at Lowestoft. Funny old game football! Let's hope we turn on the style tomorrow, with another quality performance and the right result. Best of luck to Brad and the boys. Come on guys give it your best shots! 'COME ON YOU TOWN'
  4. After last weekends resounding 1-5 victory at Wingate, that lifted us to 6th in the table, there is a good feeling of optimism around the club, as we look forward to welcoming Merstham to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium this Saturday, for another important Ryman Premier Division match. KO: 3.00pm. Our visitors are currently 22nd in the table, with a few games in hand on other basement sides, but have struggled on their travels, having only won one of 14 away matches played to date, an impressive 0-4 win at AFC Sudbury. Last season, their first in the Ryman Premier Division, the Moatsiders drew 2-2 with us at Donkey Lane, but we beat them 0-4 at Weldon Way. This season our away trip to Merstham was a much tighter affair, and we had to stage a dramatic comeback, from two goals down with ten minutes left, to draw 2-2 with late goals from Bobby Devyne and Ricky Gabriel. Town will approach Saturdays match in confident mood, following the demolition of Wingate, and the recent arrival of talented new signing Karl Oliyide, and will be looking to produce another top quality team performance to climb back into the play-off places. So, another exciting competitive match in prospect on a chilly afternoon. Keep warm, enjoy the match, and let's have plenty of loud vocal home support for Brad and the boys. Best of luck everyone. Bring it on! 'COME ON YOU TOWN'
  5. There's much truth in the old saying "When the going gets tough the tough get going". On Saturday, Town travel down to Hampshire to face league leaders Havant & Waterlooville in the Ryman Premier Division, and a tough challenge is definitely on the cards at Westleigh Park, in what will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs. The Hawk's moved top of the table on Tuesday evening, beating Billericay 0-2 away, having thumped them 5-0 at home in the FA Trophy last weekend. Havant are having a good season. They are in a strong position and are rightly considered genuine title contenders this term. Our opponents have an excellent home record to date, with 6 wins, 2 draws, and just one defeat. The only team to win at Westleigh Park so far is, surprisingly, Met Police who beat the Hawk's 1-2 in mid-October. After last weekends premature exit from the FA Trophy, Town will be looking to get back on track and make a statement of intent at Havant. To secure a place in the play-offs this season, these are the kind of matches that we need to win. It won't be easy, but it is far from impossible, if we step up to the table, deliver a high-energy performance, and take our chances. Best of luck to Brad and the boys. Go out and do yourself justice guys. It's "must win" for Town if we want to stay close to the top! See you there folk! 'COME ON YOU TOWN'
