WEFC welcomed league leaders, Thame United to Stag Meadow and proceeded to outplay them for virtually the whole of the 90 minutes. All that was missing was actually putting one of the numerous chances into the net. Then, a breakaway from Thame resulted in a foul on their striker which the referee decided was inside the box, although it appeared to be two yards outside. The penalty was converted, and Windsor somehow went in 1-0 down. Within a minute of the second half starting, a stunning 25 yard volley from Rob Lazarczuk put WEFC level, and ten minutes later, fellow midfielder Craig Bartlett stole in at the near post to flick in a corner to put WEFC deservedly ahead. Windsor were now playing some outstanding football, and would have aded several more if it were not for some good goalkeeping and some poor finishing. With five minutes remaining and WEFC cruising to victory, players lost concentration for a second, failed to clear the ball from our box, and let Thame equalise with a scrappy goal.

While stunned and disappointed that we hadn't won the game by some distance, it was our best performance of the season. Full backs Tom Hall and Mark Lines were outstanding, and Bartlett and Lazarczuk were instrumental in most of our good passing.

Team : Richards;Hall;Hartridge;King;Lines;O'Shaughnessy (Littlejohn);Bartlett;Lazarczuk;Jayes (Tindall);Martin;Hill (McRoberts).
