Johnny goes to Scotland

Did anyone see the great programme on BBC2 "Johnny goes to Scotland"

This was a fantastic programme with great footage of Ospreys,Otters,Ptarmigan,Pine Marten and Beavers all in the wild

The beavers are the first ones re-introduced to Scotland after hundreds of years and the young will be re-located to other parts of scotland where they hope the population will grow.

This was probably the best wildlife programme i have seen as although Johnny is a great wildlife photographer/film man he is just an ordinary bloke off the street with a passion for wildlife and shows great enthusiasm when he sees the wildlife

 

 

Also there were shots of herds of reindeer in the cairngorms,boar,various species of deer.

I missed the first 5 minutes so there may of been more than i saw but it was a fantastic programme with the highlights for me the 3 beavers and the shots of the otter at the end,he must of been 20 feet away.Well worth staying in on a friday night!

Johnny ain't done bad as an ex poacher/gamekeeper/grave-digger.

 

I must admit he is addictive viewing, though I missed the Sotland programme.

his exmoor stories are very good,usually get to see them either on the beeb or more often on UK People,UK Living,UK TV Gardens or any other wildlife channel on sky

blokes bonkers but thoroughly entertaining and 10/10 for enthusiasm...but still bonkers! lol

I loved it when he went searching for wild (escaped from captivity) boar, and got closer to a big male than he thought safe !
