Ryman 1 and below

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what is happening this season with promotion a reglegation?

Presumably two teams can go down from both Div 1 North & Div 1 South.

Then according to NLP there were two promotion place earkmared from Div 2. That leaves another two places to be shared between the Essex Senior/Spartan/Combined Counties. Asuming all three league have a team that qualifies, what happens then?

Also do teams relegated from Div 1 have a choice of Ryman 2 or relevant feeder league.

Boroman, until 2005 the top two in Ryman 2 automatically go up. Applications are considered from the three feeder leagues - you can apply if you come second but the winner doesn't wish to or can't due to ground problems etc. They then choose from the list of applicants, so even if you win your league you may not go up.

After 2005 Ryman 2 loses its automaticness and becomes effectively a feeder league.

Of course things may change a little with the proposed shake-ups. It looks rather as though from 2004-5 there will be a Conferernce, Conference Division 2 North and South, then FOUR feeder leagues below that.

The Ryman League have ststed that if the teams in Ryman Two want to stay part of their set up they will be allowed to and be welcome.

You may find with changes at the top happening, Conference 2 coming in team will go from the Ryman Premier, Teams in Div 1 North and South move up to make up the numbers , then Div 2 follows on to cover the sides in Div 1, that then puts the CC, SSML and ESL back below the Ryman League were they are now.

Also as far as I understand it if you dont finish top of the CC, SSML or ESL you cannot go up, at present i beleive only Dunstable in the SSML have the required standard of the side top of their divisions.

Div 2 have both Cheshunt and Leyton with B Grade grounds any team i third place would not get taken up if one of the top two could not make the move

The Ryman ruld states Relegation places would be reduced accordingly

I thought that first or second in a feeder league was a promotion place.

Although I'm sure I've been told that Cove went upfrom the CCL in third place a few years back.

Who's your team then?

Do you know Woburn Sands and the Weathercock Arms, also the Jalori Indian?

The once mighty ENFIELD FC ( the 1893 version)

I vaguely know Woburn Sands, never heard of that restaurant, if I fancy an Indian Maharajas in the centre is where I'll be.

And Russ, I go and look on all the forums coz that's the kind of guy I am, interested in everybody, even those poor sods who watch B****t
