Gary, Steve, do you really know what you are letting yourselves in for?

Yes we do and I think it is a good move. Got any problems with who we sign? You may take them up with us.

Personally, I think it is a good move bringing Derek Brown back to the Park. I know he is a bit volitile but its partly passion and that is what our team needs.

He played very well before our suspension and it was a shame to see him go to Bedford. I think we wouldnt have lost so many games if he had been at the back for us when we returned to action.
Not sure if AFF has his information correct in the other thread though about the players who are on contarct etc. Can someone else please confirm.

Hi Helen.
Whoa!
I did declare the source of the information at the start of the posting, and I did suggest that it may...shall we say....lack a soupcon of accuracy. It's not the first time. The Ministry of Disinformation.
From the latest news from The Great Webbo, it would seem that it's was a clean sheet after all. It's probably a good job Simon was on a one year contract. Goodness knows what the Tribunal would have determined if we had signed him long term. Still. Positive news of Brown and Smith and more to come, no doubt.
The others will agree terms. The Firm know where they live.
It's going to be good next season.

It is without a doubt in my opinion, that Derek saved us from a real fight in the relegation battle this season! He tightened the back four up in a calm methodical manner, rarely putting afoot wrong and heading ability to match.

So get behind the lad and give him your full support......

Derek if it does not work out, here is one EAGLES.. supporter whom would certainly welcome you back to the EYRIE's nest.

Best of luck for the new season.

I agree with Graham. We've been all over the place since Brown went and the discipline has been non-existent. He's just the sort of player we need right now. Now how about swapping Ansell for Slinn?

Discipline all over the place since Brownie left? I wouldn't put that down to his betrayal, sorry, move. How many cards did Brownie get anyway?
I won't bother going into my thoughts on Brownie's return. You all know what they are.

Well, I for 1 am glad to see the back of Brown, I can clearly see what Roger Ashby is trying to achive from his recent interview in the Bedfordshire Times & Citizen....and I quote:-
"For next season we are looking for a more manly defence and what with Derek Brown being a hermaphrodite I feel that he/she may be the first ladyboy to leave the new eyrie prior to the new campaign"
Probably.............

The way he downed that bottle of Amaruso on New Years Eve suggest's there is no lady in him!!!
On a serious note (very rare) don't forget that for both City and Bedford he proberly weighed in with double figures in the goal count!
And he's in EFM

And he hates Canvey (I reacon)

quote:
he will a good man 2 ave on broad

What's his sex life and coming from Glasgow got to do with his footballing ability? Anyway, I always thought you called them hens up there.

Did Roger Ashby really call Derek Brown an "hermaphrodite" and a "ladyboy" in the local rag?
If so, it will add a little spice to the ties with Bedford next season, methinks.

Hey Micky your so fine, your so fine you blow my mind hey Micky...... tongue.gif" border="0
Anyway, I'm sticking with my Derek Brown is a hermaphrodite campaign, the tee-shirts are all printed (on both front and back ) and the arangements for the sloganed hot air ballon are being finalised.
On my second perusal of the times and citizen I hold my hands up and admit wheras I interpretted the word"hermaphrodite" it does actually read"defender" and ladyboy was confused with"number 4". It just goes to show that you should never sign a contract without reading it twice.
Anyway, I think next years encounters will be full of spice anyway....where as you lot have the EFM we have a right royal rowdy bunch of folically challenged loud mouthed ar$eholes. We dont go by any name, not that b-o-r-e-d I mean well organised. I dont know, PTA has a certain ring to it.
You may have the largest firm in the ryman league and an AC/DC defender but we have got a tiger........beat that!
