LF's new hat does seem to have slipped somewhat.

Eh?...somewhat think if you read the thread PF has a different agenda to the actual thread...old wounds etc....

He has taken a very narrow minded

I asked the question TC...for debate. Unlike on here everyone has and entitled to an opinion on such matters....

potentially damaging view

good grief what tosh.....from who....no diffrent from someone coming on here and saying The Blues are crap...thats damaging?

of what is a win win situation for CCFC.

Really for whom TC?..........( quote :-a small non- league club just finding its feet at a new home and striving for promotion, and yet to perfect any income streams to propell it forward)

Maybe OK for Billericay to fund such things but 'as a new' club, I'm not sure the judgement is right at this time in the re-birth of CCFC.......it was a discussion point, but I'm glad the thread has generated some excitement on here.... laugh

Peter has withdrawn having had his bottom severely spanked and his agenda exposed....... laugh

I think you may have misinterpreted P.F.'s recent silence, LF. I suspect he feels that "his work is done".

The very fact that we're both putting forward our opinion makes your statement nonsense

'good grief what tosh.....'

Here's one of many possible damaging aspects of losing your successful, and long established Ladies section.

CCFC would not be able to gain FA community club status and all that goes with it.

'Really for whom TC?'

The clue is in the quote LF

'Peter has withdrawn having had his bottom severely spanked and his agenda exposed....... laugh '

Sstraighten your CCFC hat LF, and take stock, my comments were in support of your club, as were Peter's

In LF's first post, I almost detected a little whif of chauvanistic leanings? And then I thought "Ooooo, soap opera" time. grin

The "Community" tag is quite prestigeous and worthy of CCFC as it is BTFC. Without the Ladies team, how can CCFC be considered as one with the community? It does take into account youth as well Ladies...or do they not count.

The other stream of the arguement, about Melbourne Park NOT being the clubs own ground, is quite "stark", IMO. We're led to believe that it is their home BUT for the fact they have to book their games in advance with the council...this is obviously one reason that their Ladies team can't or won't or whatever play there.

Reading part of the thread (I gt bored and quite possibly missed a point...I've decided to read it in instalments a la Eastenedrs), it appears that LF has, indeed opened his mouth on a number of subjects and found room for a foot or two.

I have seen our Ladies team play CCFC Ladies and enjoyed the game immensley...both teams were a credit to their club. I may also add that our Ladies team were the first team to add some silverware to our cabinet since SK took over the Chairmanship. A credit to our club and one we support and don't mess with lightly grin

Coming back to the er...debate...another comment about "new" club. I know I made reference to this in a earlier message link and altho my next statement may appear to contradict it, I think that some long standing supporters of the club may feel a bit miffed with that one. It may be new to LF but those that supported the club through it's lean years, it's very much a re vitalised "old friend" of a club. A proud club with proud history of ground hopping in the past 10 years...or is that some other club?

Ahhhh well...I shall read another instalment now. I'm very much hoping that Gary "Bradley" Mixture does get to make it all up with Peter "Stacy" Foster cuddle and they defy that nasty Local "Max" Fan...Can't wait.

I don't think it's morbid. The two protaginists in this instance fairly regularly contribute to our Message Board. It's also fair to say that the history of the two clubs has been closely intertwined over recent years. And going back into the dim and distant past I bet there's more than a few Billericay residents who made regular forrays to New Writtle Street.

I enjoy the banter and rivalry. On the whole it's a harmless waste of time; marginally more interesting than "Who Killed Di", Paul & Heathers divorce or "Dancing on Ice" wink I suspect it will continue in the future, irrespective of our relative positions in the pyramid.

Tonight / early hours of the morn there is a total Eclipse of the Moon.

It should turn a shade of claret (honest)

I assume this has not been brought on by bloodshed in the Chelmsford area?
