Farnborough v Marlow 18th March 2008

Recommended Posts

Farnborough FC 3 Marlow 0

Farnborough is full of ideas and promise at the moment.

They now lead Div 1, of the British Gas S+W League, by 8 points.

Totally outclassed Marlow tonight, and should have scored more.

Marlow had 2 shots and 0 on target.

Superb tannoy, A new section of the stand seems to be bullt each time I go there, their tunes are modern and the stewards are sensible*. All for £7.

Chairman Adam Theo clearly has attracted a lot of money to the club, they even have rotating advert boards all around the ground, and a new hospitality bar, in the main seating section.

Referee was card happy, sending 2 players off, and booking a few others during the game.

The home crowd were as entertaining as ever, singing about Westley and various other subjects fairly graphically.

For Farnborough Darren Wheeler was MOM, a very nifty left winger, who should have scored 2 goals, but showed some real quickness of mind and feet.

Marcus Richardson, up front for Farnborough was effective, and scored a brace.

Leigh Rumbold and Rob Saunders in the centre of midfiled are the cornerstone of the Borough's success this season. This was their 5th straight win.

Aaron Wise, Brentford Youth player, is on loan at Farnborough, got 15 minutes at the end, and looked the part.

Attendance 465
