Who's sold more tickets - the Gulls vs the Fleet?

Recommended Posts

You're up on ticket sales at the moment - 6,000 to our 5,000!

It wouldn't surprise me if you stay ahead until the final week. Quite a number of our fans will be waiting to see what happens re the playoffs situation. Those with families or a low wage might only go to one match if we happen to get to Wembley twice in 8 days, fingers crossed, and might choose a playoff final over the Trophy game! That'd be a shame as the Trophy is a distinguished competition and, up to now, a Devon Bowl or two aside, we've nothing in our trophy cabinet!

Even so, it'd be nice to break the record for a Trophy final attendance. I think we took about 25,000 when we got to Wembley the first time in 1989 when we lost to Bolton in the old Sherpa Van Trophy. Mind, we did score first and those 3 minutes when we were ahead was like being in footballing heaven!

Best of luck with your sales!

sales at close of business yesterday were in the region of 9,000+ (3,555 on MyFC and the rest at Stonebridge Road and over the phone)

Would be surprised if we got near the 53,000 last season - the FAT final was the first game in the new Wembley and so attracted quite a few extra to see it. I would expect 40,000+

C'mon the locals!

Well Lord Wah Wah, I seem to remember , going as many times in a season as work would allow, man and boy,(Home and away,as an adult), for a total of 45 years, you have some catching up to do. Your once or twice a year and your 27 quid, hardly makes you a strong financial supporter, now does it?

This time next year you will probably have tired of your new toy, and gone back to supporting Doolally Rovers!

By the way, is that your dummy on the floor by the pram? Don't forget to wipe it before putting it back into your mouth, we wouldn't want you catching any nasty germs!
