Upgraded Forum Software :)

Hi,

 

I have just completed a major upgrade to the forum software.

 

If you spot any issues, please let me know.

 

We now have several new features, which I will document shortly.

 

Important: if you cannot PM, post in shoutbox etc., please make at least one post on the forum. You will then be moved to the 'regular users' group, and these benefits will be restored. New members have greater restrictions until they have made 10 posts.

Just one little niggle. Blind old farts like me, may find it hard to find the "Top" button(to take you back to the top of the page), hidden in the blue framework.....I know I did!

Which reminds me, I need to alter that area - once I change that area, it may well be easier to see

Do you mean 'Hop To:' which is at the towards the top of the pages.

Can the shout box be made 'movable'? or opened in a new screen?

 

Only a suggestion though.

Graemlins or Smilies are all still there

I think by default there are only a limited number displayed, with an option to view the complete selection.

This can also be set from 'My preference' under 'My Stuff'

I think everyone will need to make one post on the forums to enable the ability to re-use the shoutbox

i keep getting this msg everytime i click to open a thread-

some times when i click back nothing happens, so i refresh it then either goes straight away or the same UBB msg is displayed!

Forum jump (drop down menu of forums) used to be below the quick reply box.
