All if's and but's.
Good Player but, how many games did he miss from being suspended !

We need Players with a very tight control over their emotions, otherwise we will need a squad of 30 just to cover suspensions etc. This season discipline must improve.

The unqualified suggestion that secondary schools would rather hold sports days there than Picketts Lock, without setting out how this poll took place and what was actually asked, doesn't seem to me to meet the normal journalistic standards of the Borough's premier local paper.

I think that Kofi was a nightmare, hard but no disciplinary control.

We used over 40 players last season that is not good enough.

A strong first team squad of 18-20 players backed by potential in the reserves should suffice. As fans we should be able to identify our stongest 1st eleven but that has not been possible for over a season cos of the chopping, changing, disregarding, loan signings etc etc

This season must see discipline and stability in our first team and hopefully the new players will settle and perform.

I'm sorry to see Stevie V go he would have been a good squad player to have around, but hey, new management new ideas, lets back em to succeed.

Sorry to see Stevie.V go, he didn't get much of a chance under Jim last season, but he did struggle to impose himself in games when he got the chance, especially in physical encounters.

In my eyes he is someone who will always be held in high regard by us Towners, simply because of the ability he had on the ball and the way he looked to play his football. Sometimes watching Stevie.V's passing was worth the admission fee alone, and you would stand back and have to say to yourself "different class". Just a shame that maybe other aspects of his game, mainly on the defensive/aerial side of things, stop him playing at a much higher level, and stopped him from being influencial for us.

Best of luck in the future Stevie.V, and thanks for those moments of magic!! excited

According to the Web site - Player Pens - we have 27 players to date ( only 1 keeper ! )and "loads" of defenders.

It is dated Players for 2006 - 2007 but apart from that looks up to date.

How many more coming in ?

Who is the 2nd team keeper ( Campbell ? )

O, and what happened to Rikki Burbidge from Billericay ??

Keeper = 1
Defender = 13
Def / Mid = 1
Midfield = 4 just a little light here chaps.
Mid / Attc = 1
Attack = 7
======
Total ( to date ) 27.
3 more Midfield = 30 Can we afford any more ?
( and still only 1 keeper ).

I'd list the players that can play in midfield (although not necessarily specialist midfielders) as follows (bearing in mind, I don't know a lot about some of them):

Hall

Jones

Mitchell

Marshall (Listed as a forward, more likely to play wide midfield?)

Campbell (Probably a better right back)

Bastian (Probably a better left back)

Dauti

Williams (Defender / midfielder)

Deane (Although I'd rather see him used up front)

Drisdale

We do seem to be a little bit light in midfield, and there are loads of defenders. Still, there's time for more additions, I guess...

Player Pens.

I will be very disappointed if two of those on the 'player pens' page are still at the club if we can off load quality players like Stevie V.

Quote from the club website - 'One of the best passers of the ball at the club.' Steve Velandia

Couldn't agree more with you both, never impressed me, at the start of the season he never managed 45 minutes without getting injured & if he did it usually ended with a brightly coloured card.

Exactly, starting to look forward to the new season now, Stewart & Mike seem to be doing what was needed a season or two ago, lets hope it continues.
