An English Nun !

A prim English nun is spending some time with the Sisters of Mercy in a convent in the Everglades in the Southern USA.

 

Not long after arriving she is feeling so hot and so faint, in her thick English habit and thermal undergarments, that she is forced to seek out the Mother Superior and ask her advice, in camera.

 

"I feel I shall pass out any minute if I don't find a way of keeping cool," says the English nun. "How do you and the other nuns mange in this heat?"

 

"Well," confided the Mother Superior, "to tell you the truth, we don't wear any knickers."

 

The English nun, somewhat shocked at this revelation, decided to take a walk in the Everglades to consider her options, and as she was walking, she came upon a local woman, who was sitting on the river bank eating a water melon, bare feet and legs splashing in the river, with her knickers unhitched and dangling from the top of one leg.

 

"Excuse me," queried the nun, tentatively,"but could you tell me if you find wearing no knickers in this heat keeps you cool ?"

 

"Why no, honey," cried the woman, "but it sure keeps the flies off my water melon !!!"
