Yes, Wader will be rubbing his hands and doing his Fagin impression. I still think they would have got more had the game been played in the afternoon however it shows Biggleswade Town can pull in the crowds at their fine stadium if they do get promotion to Step 4.

Well, everything has changed now. Biggleswade and the Chalfonts seem to have turned the League around 360 degrees.

Harefield have Colney Heath and Broxbourne away.....

Biggs have Hanwell and the Chalfonts at home....

and the Chalfonts have Holmer Green, St.Mags, Colney Heath and Biggs Town away and Brimsdown and Hanwell at home....

great fun, it's not like a normal title race now, it's more like Twenty/20 football ....who can bang in the most goals...can't wait for Saturday now. smile

I wouldn't describe Herns Lane as a 'souless ground' but Oracle should take note of the discarded lucozade bottles as that does give a bad impression:

The Ref was very poor, inasmuch as the Bury player was only shown a yellow card, but had already been booked, so was then shown red. All 3 were for the same incident, which was as the ball went out of play, with a Brimsdown player behind it, the Bury player ran into the back of him and headbutted him. He fell forwards and his neck caught the railings. He was completely out cold!!! Both sides officials immediately ran to the player, and there was a bit of a scuffle, but only one punch thrown, by the Bury Manager who was then made to stand the other side of the railings, by the Ref!!!. As I said the Bury player just got a (2nd) yellow. Two Brimsdown players got straight reds. Overheard in the clubhouse after, a Bury player saying "of course he was headbutted on purpose he had been giving us lip during the game!" Luckily the Brimsdown player recovered. Also very unsporting was when Brimsdown kicked the ball out of play, in the first half, so one of the Bury players could receive treatment, on the re-start a Bury player threw the ball to his own player and play continued!!

So...if Judge Dread threw the only punch, the bury player got just a yellow for his nutbutt, what on earth did the brimmo players do to merit their red cards??
A bit of pushing and shoving, and quite a bit of swearing. In a seperate incident a Brimsdown player got booked for swearing at his own team mate. I hope the Ref's Assessor, who was there, will be honest enough to deal with the Ref. It happened right in front of where he was sitting.

A great game at St.Mags last night. The Chalfonts looked good early on, but Bury worked really hard all game, got the equaliser, and could quite easily have snatched a winner late on.

The Chalfonts have it all to do now, so I reckon it's Biggs Town as favourites and the mighty Hares a close second. It could all change tomorrow though. hyperactive

Royston 4-2 down to Tring in Herts CuP SEMI, equalise in 90th minute and score winner in 94th minute.

Cracking cup tie on top of wins against Leverstock Green and Oxhey Jets in previous two rounds. Broxbourne in the final now

To be fair to Tring, they had a load of 1st teamers missing for various reasons about half their team were reserve and youth team players, but still nearly pulled it off. Im pleased for Paul that the crows won, should be an open final against us (BBFC). Anyone know the date yet?

Agreed! - there can't be much between them and Brimsdown Rovers for the "Violent Thugs of The Year" award from the League.

Septimus - I'm sure Hollie will disagree with you there, we'll see what she says when she comes on as I thought Brimsdown Rovers get very little or no support.

Hi 3praise, that's certainly a blast from the past, where have you been hiding. I'm just doing a bit of this and a bit of that at the moment, I'm currently helping Tokyngton Manor out until the end of the season, how about you, I gather Ged Searson is on the payroll at Underhill so you must be following Barnet.
