I haven't really noticed Stone on the pitch, but only 2 games in. He'll clintch the winner at Plainmoor

Craig has started both games this season.

 

He had an un-spectacular game v Mansfield

 

He played a bit better v R + D, and has not been pulled off yet...

Thanks eufckev as a former Gillingham fan I hope Stone does well as he didnt deserve to be released by Gillingham, but Ebbsfleet have gained a supporter as soon as I get the opportunity to get to games.

Stacy long is better anyway.....Stone needs a few games under his belt, and under the tutilge (?) of someone decent to show what he is capable of

Stone and Long completely different types of player though to be fair I think, Greg - at least in the Fleet setup.

hes not Bostwick ... the problem is that we have two very similar players in Stone and Barrett .. I feel we need a harder player in the middle - a ball winner --- Michael Pook is being released by Swindon Town and would be a perfect addition. Stone WILL improve tho Im sure

And why is he being released? I would summise that he's not up to it.

Wonder what kind of money a League 1 player earns, compared to BSP level?

I would estimate, Pook, at Swindon, is on a grand a week, maybe slightly more.

Doesn't mean he wouldn't make it at Conference level though!

For me Stone is a bit of a lightweight

 

Stays back off the play and doesn't look like he wants to get involved in a midfield battle

 

I withhold full judgement until we've seen him a little more, but he needs to up his work-rate and make a tackle or two

 

I'd sooner see Rickets in that holding midfield roll, has done well there in the past and he does put his foot in
