Is there any proof that happened? At the moment, it's all words and no proof.

Yes there is proof, just ask your web team they will tell you, they even suggested taking that very action a few days before the banning.
But if i was you i would be asking about the FGD and why only 4000 have renewed.

What kind of cutbacks? - the cutbacks that would have been put in place one year ago if MYFC had not turned up. MYFC are not the problem here. There was never sufficient local support to fund a full-time team. That is the problem.

If MYFC had been run professionally it could have bridged the funding gap. It wasn't and so it won't. But that does not mean that EUFC or MYFC are dead in the water, just that they will change and adapt to their new circumstances.

another 2000 may fall off by end May?

Although a huge chunk are going to fall off soon, 9000 now becoming 7000 by the end of May isn't going to happen.

The 9000 that people said on here wouldn't be achieved has been achieved.

The annual club shortfall looks like about 500,000 pa rather than 800,000.

Its not a disaster, its another football club struggling for money.

It is a very severe situation though.

Til this day..none of the fundamental economical issues has been adressed in a way that seems to have had any significant positive impact on the deficits.

How much longer until those necessary actions is taken?

It is one valid question to make IMO.

Regarding Myfc as just another owner, this owner now is short on money and it seems without any strateghy for the future regarding their new and difficult situation.

Myfc just another owner?

The members has been making decisions that is affecting the clubs economy..this without even being allowed the knowledge to the clubs actual situation via accounts and other stuff absolutely necessary for to make sensible economical decisions.

It is just an example of many.

Is this the way to run a football club?

Au contrare..it is madness..and a tab for it will have to be picked up in the end.

Guess who will have to pay it?

Jeff, only 5000 have renewed, 4000 had previously signed up for multi-year memberships.

6000 signed up after this date last year, and if the apathy continues at the same rate another 4500 will drop out over the next year. If thats not a disaster i don't know what is.

But the operator can now walk away and take his(your) money with him.

5000+ have renewed, some for multi years (about 1,000 not 4,000 but we can hope!),

but still 5000 + different members right now have renewed.

Another 5000 have signed up since the 19/2 2008, and may or may not renew when their day comes.

the operator cant walk right now as membership is now at 32,203.

If or when it drops to 14,999 he has an option and decisions to make.

Surely tho, TOMORROW the membership will be less than the minimum required? And the operator can decide to walk away just like that? What kind of contract is that? Who would vote for something like that?
