How is the speed of the forums for you now?

Running via Firefox, and really notice the improved page loading time...

Another Firefox user whose finding the loading of the main page much, much faster. Never had much problem with the other pages.

hi ian, speed of forums all seems fine. one thing i would like to see back is the navigation menu at the bottom of each thread. navigating between forums seems to be far more tedious then ever before.

At the moment it is a two step approach. 1. Either scroll to the top of the page or click Top on every post and 2. click on 'Hop To:'. In otherwords it is at the top of the page, rather than the foot.

 

However I will see what I can do.

re the smilies - do you mean on posts or in the pop-out on the new post box (or somewhere else?)

There appears to be a slight issue with black and gold if running in IE8 - you will need to run in compatability mode to see it properly. Should work fine in FF (unless I have yet to spot any further issues).
