Big J R 723
I read somewhere this week that the old fool is going to donate his state pension to charity. I personally would rather he paid the same proportion of his vast income to the inland revenue, the same of the rest of us have to. Not a Royalist then, Mate ???? missunderstood
Rhodes 223
The trouble is that, as I said, Charles has become a liability and nobody is interested in Camilla Parker Bowles, William has to succeed the Queen with the iconic Kate as Queen and baby George or else the Royal family will lose all credbility
Zippy 7
I could see that happening, Rhodes, although I am quite sure that Prince Charles will want his turn on the throne.
Rhodes 223
Zippy - Well if that is to be the case then lets hope the Queen lives for as long as her Mother and doesn't relinquish the throne to Charles until she dies
Loose 320
I did read that Prince Charles views being Monarch as being "imprisoned", making his ability to hold forth on his passionate opinions and views an impossibility. It does make you wonder if he would like to abdicate were his chance to come around during his lifetime. His family seem a long lived one, look at his grandmother, his mother and father. Philip ramrod straight again during events after a series of illnesses, and surely his mother could go on for decades. Charles may not outlive his mother so Rhodesly may get his wish yet. There again, how long will Rhodesly live? Will he live to see any of it? Will I even? Never mind.
Rhodes 223
I see that Prince Charles presented Adele with her deserved MBE yesterday at Buckingham Palace, I'll be really surprised if he knew who she was!

Rhodes 223
I see that Prince Charles has really put his foot in it this time upsetting the Russians by comparing Putin with Hitler, he really is a buffoon isn't he but then, as they say, like father like son
Eastside Urchin 991
Hmmmm he has a bit of a point though
redimp 10
Try to remember that the Russians were Hitlers allies till 1941 and murdered untold millions of Poles,Jews and anybody with half a brain to oppose them them switched sides and at the end of the war kept half of Europe and started all over again. Poland as an example was occupied from 1939 to 1989 when Solidarity came about and the same is true of the rest of Eastern Europe . Fair play to Prince Charles tell him to watch out for poisoned umbrellas!
Big J R 723
Prince Charles was absolutely right, IMHO ! Putin is a very dangerous individual.
Rhodes 223
Clearly this isn't going to go away, Putin has accused Charles of 'historical ignorance': http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2636766/Now-Kremlin-hurls-abuse-Charles-As-diplomats-clash-angrily-London-Putins-aides-say-Prince-unfit-king.html

Did Prince Charles go to the police accusing you of false accounting? There there Rhodesly, people in glass houses and all that.

redimp 10
I refer to my previous comment Rhodes but Stalin was responsible for killing more of his own people than anybody else!
Rhodes 223
I see that Spain's King Carlos chose to abdicate recently because he did not want his son Felipe, 46, to 'wither waiting like Prince Charles'. His Chief of the Royal Household in Madrid, Rafael Spottorno said 'he saw above all that his son was in his prime and didn't want to see him like Charles. That says it all really doesn't it. Rhodes 223
It was little Prince George's first birthday yesterday and a party was held for the lad at Kensington Palace but, surprise, surprise, his Grandad Prince Charles missed the happy event as he was in Scotland visiting the Glendelvine Estate in Perthshire, disgusting! RalphC 30
And quite right to. He does have many duties to attend to. Not all of them are in the newspaper. This week he has been on duty in Scotland. Rhodes - don't be a pathetic person all your life......
missunderstood 170
Surely its about time we had a grown up debate about these pampered parasites.

RalphC 30
RalphC - So would you miss your Grandson's first birthday then Yes, if I was representing the country or even just working away from home. Work often has to take priority. I bet all his great aunts, great uncles etc., were not there.... it is one birthday, he will not even remember it and will have many more!
