Adding Images To Your Posts

Recommended Posts

Okay - so you want to add an image to your post.

Two choices - either you wish to add a hosted image (i.e one from another site) or one that is stored on your computer.

Both of these options may require - the full editor/post window (default on new posts, but a click away on the quick reply)

Let's deal with the simple one first - hosted images.

Click on picture.png image above the new post box and add the full URL to the box that appears.

For example to add the picture.png image I entered http://www.nonleague.co.uk/forum/public/style_images/master/rte_icons/picture.png into the box.

Now for uploading images from your computer....

Almost as quick....

Below the new post window you will see a button marked 'Choose File' - click this and navigate to the image on your computer and click ok. If you are happy with the chosen image, then click 'attach this file'. addimage1.jpg

Your image is now attached to the post. addimage2.jpg

Finally to make your image appear in your post itself, click on 'Add to Post' - you will then see a link appear in your post, wherever your cursor was. You can move this wording which will look something like [ attachment=755:addimage2.jpg ] to your chosen location.

You can then make your post :)
