its not looking to clever for a lot of teams in the conf at the moment.. if enough of them fold maybe the ryman can apply for 5 promotion slots?...would certainly save on all that high pressure bitching at each other as the season draws to a close and nerves are frayed <img src="graemlins/chainsaw.gif" border="0" alt="" />

I'd rather win promotion on merit, than on the back of another team going bust - some never come back.<p>Perhaps Canv is getting desperate because the Island are not winning the league by miles, as all their money should so rightly allow them.

Well, the conference are only going to be accepting as many teams into the league as are promoted out of it, so it'll be a shorter season for the remaining teams if nothing else.

Canvey Island lads, do you know if your ground is ok for the Conference? I'm not taking the P, genuine question. <p>I visited for your cup game against Stafford Rangers (our game at Bowers was called off as there was a suspected dewdrop on a blade of grass at 9.30). Great atmosphere and everything, good game you thoroughly deserved to win, and I enjoyed my burger, but I thought the ground looked rather like it's been added to a bit at a time to bring it up to the standard required every time you moved up a notch. And it's asymmetrical - I hate that!<p>Before you say it, yes at least you've got a ground!

Well CANV perhaps an appology wouldent go amiss. To all those fans of Dartford, Romford, Dover Town, Accrington Stanley, Colne, Maidstone Utd, Aldershot Town, etc who would be horrified that a Canvey supporter was hoping clubs would go bust and die so that one far smaller club could climb through the divisions.
