No more essex

Well those wonderful powers that be have decided Slough will play in the South next season, so no more winter trips to Wivenhoe then. What a shame that is (no offence to the Wivenhoe fan). Still at this rate we won't be playing outside of the local park, let alone trips to the coast!

yeah...you're right there LMU...a real nice friendly bunch......

 

as it turns out they were all Chelsea mad and invited Dimitri into the boardroom so they could get his autograph...he was at it for ages bless him.....and there was a woman there...real sweetie who asked me to introduce her to D and it really made her day for sure...

 

very hospitable people....

 

the thing I'll always remember about our visit there was all the supporters lining the narrow players exit from the pitch and singing the urchins song...

 

brilliant...that was the day I knew we were going up....

Must admit I liked Wivenhoe too, although there was definitely a League of Gentlemen ring to the place.
