Aveley Off Tonight

Has the game been arranged to be played at Aveley or at New Lodge where we might actually have half a chance of getting a game?

Mind you if we do play on Wednesday I think that might mean Russel Pond would then be available for Saturday?

So it's been re-arranged 2 days after the game was postponed, for the 2nd week running, with rain predicted tomorrow and probably Wednesday, if this game is scheduled to be played at Aveley, surely the game must go ahead?!?!?

Do we know where the game is scheduled to be played?

The game whenever it gets played will be played at Mill Field ...

We have just been unlucky with the weather, as Romford played Saturday on a decent playing surface.

Out of interest we have agreed to play Wednesday weather permitting, dispite it not being our normal matchday evening, to assist Billericay in thier attempt to get rid of games for suspended players ahead of your FA Trophy game at the weekend.

We are not looking for thanks, but critism seems a little bit over the top ....now you know the full picture I hope you will appreciate we are trying to assist not hinder your club.

See you all Wednesday ;-) .....unless of course you are computer fans of BTFC.

To be fair we have had three postponements now at Aveley. Hopefully the game will go ahead on Wednesday even if conditions are less than perfect - I'm sure both teams are keen to get the game played. Those that share their ground do seem to suffer from a higher postponement rate although it's fair to say precipitation levels have been rather high.

Strange to statistic to quote given that Romford have not had one gam called off this season ....and we have had 4 now ...sadly 3 against you guys !

If the rain stays away tonight ...we should be ok.

Fingers crossed ...cos all we want to do is get it out the way (to say it is low priority would be doing the competition as injustice but our Premier Division survival is as has always been our taret this season) ........but not at all costs ...ie losing the pitch for weeks as I am sure your guys would feel the same.

In other "game-off" news...

Maidstone's league cup tie at home to Tilbury tonight has been called off. According to the Tilbury forum it's been rearranged for the 15th meaning our trip to Maidstone has been "bumped".

Maidstone v Tilbury now on the 22nd according to the MUFC site, so looks like we're still going there on Tuesday.
