ETFC - First team - training night

It was good to go and watch training last night. Lots of quality players, some new faces, some old faces, some skinny, some fat (after break), some very young and some veterans but all keen to pull on the Enfield Town FC shirt with pride. All having a great time training and working off those excess pounds. And watched by about 30 – 40 fans and officials.

 

No names save to say it will be interested to see who Jim fields for the first friendly against Brimsdown @ the Brimobeu next Wednesday evening.

One of the players on view was Jason Geraghty formaly of Leyton Pennant and more recently of Hemel Hempstead.

If Jim can pull that off that will be an excellent signing....

Looks as though we have lost Danny Alleyne and Dave Allen to Waltham Forest......but good to see Danny Clarke back...

 

Anyone recognise any other new faces last night..?

Danny and Dave will be sorely missed. Let's hope that the new players will be up to their standard or even better.

We've gained full backs as well! We will have a balanced squad, Jim is a man with contacts.

 

Don't know if Daniel was just visiting or looking to join-up again? He was enjoying watching training. You know Daniel!

Did hear from good authority that he will sign....

There must have been about 50 to watch training last night. Yes the crowd is growing!

 

No Clarkee for those who thought he might appear!

 

The work on the ground proceeds at a pace (1st gear) but it does look good. People last night keept asking about the fencing? Sabre or Epee?

 

Full marks to young Dave on the tractor for the grass cutting very nice!

There were 30 training last night and expect Jim to continue to put some of the prospective new boys through their paces on Wednesday to see if they are the quality the Town are looking for. Some really exciting prospective players to fill some of the gaps following the summer move ons!
