Help required

I have only been watching football for 40 years, the last 15 GNFC home and away. So I do not know very much about football and was wondering if someone out there could answer some questions that are quite frankly confusing me. Oh by the way, for he last 20 minutes last night we played some very competent football, the first 70 however ranked up there with Trowbridge (0-9), Halesowen (1-8) and Harrow away (0-6).

 

Questions:-

 

1. What has Louie Edwards done wrong ?

2. Why did we change the system again last night ?

For the record this season, 3 hours of Conference Football:

1 hour (5 at the back) : No goals

2 hours ( 4 at the back : 5 goals.

 

3. Why were Trott and Skinner dropped ?

4. Why was our first choice right back played at left back ?

5. Why were Owen and Pinnock not on from the start ?

6. Why are we still experimenting 2 games into the season ?

7. Why are our corners and free kicks, on the whole, embarrasing ?

8. Why do we give away players and replace them with players of

lesser ability ?

 

9. Not being full time or short on financial resourses are not valid

excuses for tactical inadequatsies, or may they are ?

Questions:-

 

1. What has Louie Edwards done wrong ?

 

A) Never heard of him , any relation to jimmy edwards? or could you mean lewis evans , who surely puts in more effort than huggins whenever he pulls on a fleet shirt.

 

2. Why did we change the system again last night ?

A) Because mr ford appears to be losing his footballing marbles. duke is not firing on all cylinders yet , but that will come. mc clements seems to me to be more of a wing back than a solid right back , pushes up to far and has trouble coming back. o'reily has a great kick and for a youngster is very capable and a good second keeper.

 

3. Why were Trott and Skinner dropped ?

 

A) Apparently due to poor performance saturday. i personally thought Skins played ok , as did our entire defence for the first half. it wasnt until mr ford decided in his ultimate wisdom to change tactics that we lost our way and the game.

 

4. Why was our first choice right back played at left back ?

 

A) Do we have any other left backs at the club?

 

5. Why were Owen and Pinnock not on from the start ?

 

A) gotta admit im not a big rob owen fan , but last night he played a blinder , if he could do it every game then he may get to start more often. as for pinnock , i think he has to start on saturday, he plays with a passion which most our team are lacking at the moment.

 

6. Why are we still experimenting 2 games into the season ?

 

A) ask mr ford.

 

 

7. Why are our corners and free kicks, on the whole, embarrasing ?

 

A) ask mr ford. last seasons were the same.

 

8. Why do we give away players and replace them with players of lesser ability ?

 

A) did we give them away or did they choose to go somewhere else as they were out of contract. i have heard rumours from ex players who say that the dressing room atmosphere is not ideal due to a certain persons attitude.... or words to that effect <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
