I don't have anything special to hand.  01256 853000 is the Hampshire FA switchboard and you could ask for the Disciplinary department?  I'm afraid I have no experience on whether exceptions are permitted...

It does seem ridiculous as it's not just a friendly, but a match for charity!!!

 

I guess there's nothing I can do excpet cross my fingers for more snow. If only I wasn't honest..............................

Just got in from training and our pitch is still rock hard....Hope 4 a thaw as its gonna take some good heat to get these pitches thawed out by Sunday...................fingers crossed.

Trained on the pitch tonight at Cove.

 

It still has 2-3 inches of snow on it some how! About 15% of the pitch is snow and ice free but the rest is all covered.

 

The weather outlook is good. 3 celcius on wed, 6 on thurs, 8 on friday, and 5 on saturday. I'm sure thats enough thawing before sunday to allow the match to go ahead. Thursday we'll be training on the pitch and if the snow is still present we'll be raking it, breaking it up and shovelling it off the pitch.

 

We're desperate to play Saturday as it will be 4 weeks this saturday without a match!

 

I'm confident we'll be good for Sunday! Looking forward to it.

I have it on good knowledge that the Cove pitch is already quite poor. Training on it Thursday, playing on it Saturday......................beginning to warm to the fact I'm suspended!!
