Discipline

Good to see another game pass yesterday without any red or yellow cards.

We've had 2 bad games, Woking, where we picked up 4 yellows, and Scarborough, 3 red and 3 yellow, and in the other 6 games have only had 3 bookings. Only 3 sides have had fewer yellow cards than us this season.

Its clear that the players have learned greatly from last season - mind you, the fines they receive for red cards must also have something to do with it - Andy mentioned in his post match interview on Saturday that the total fines on the 3 players red carded at Scarborough totalled in excess of £1000.

Alan, there was one piece of indiscipline that worried me on Saturday when Rob Howarth ran at least twenty yards to get involved in something which didn't concern him. It's those types of situations which can lead to unnecesary yellow cards. On the whole though I agree, lessons do seem to have been learnt.
