Social Groups are now open!!

Hi,

 

I am pleased to announce that social groups are now being tested. Iit will enable members to set up their own group and sub-forum.

 

You can see the groups section at http://www.nonleague.co.uk/groups/ and perhaps join the sample group at http://www.nonleague.co.uk/groups/show/1-sample-group-testing-only/

 

Members who create the groups will be able to invite fellow members, restrict membership to say a social club, allow anyone to join etc.

 

The admins of any group can upload their own banner and logo (optional) and can PM group members - perhaps to advertise events etc.

 

The forum will be shown only to members of that group, giving privacy to your members.

 

Groups will be allowed on any topic - football, hobbies, politics, team, leagues etc.

 

Initially to control groups whilst they are being fully integrated (and to recoup some of the cost of the software) only Gold Members are allowed to create groups. If you would like the ability to set up a social group then you can become a gold member for the small cost of £5 a year. Click here to become a gold member and to support the site.

I just wanted to highlight how pleased I am with my group as I build content before properly launching to the supporters of the club as we get nearer the season.

Still loving our group... are there any plans to allow us to alter the colours, change layout of front page etc?

 

It would give a nice point of difference.

I am waiting to see what the new version will bring before making a decision.

 

The forums will get a software upgrade first within the next month or so.

Ok no worries, I will keep populating our site in the meantime. It's become invaluable.

actually they have today released the new version - needs a bit of testing, which I am doing now - so hopefully will update pretty soon
