With Canvey digging in early rather than late this season we are replaying recent years where the pack are chasing throughout the year but failing to catch the early runner

Of the top four Hayes are unknown to me but looking good and likewise Bognar are showing really well early daws

Carshalton? seems a false position but are they to be the surprise package

Joint favourites Kettering appear to be tearing themselves to bits from the inside and there chances must fade away before November.

Thurrock look good and have the experience in management but lack squad size to cope with the winter or the money needed to make that final push

Late manic charge from the back! maybe Bedford and St Albans have the experience but never really look to have the consistancy

For the rest of the possibles they will need to take closer order or I can see the fight being between those mentioned by Christmas

hornchurch will be in the shake up come january.. weakness's for them are borg and his love in with ollie at the heart of defence

Canvey for me, with Bedford, Hornchurch and Hayes chasing.

 

Carshalton etc. will be nowhere to be seen come Christmas, and we don't stand a hope.

It has to be said, I fancied Canvey from day one. However, you can't write us off. We got off to a worse start in the DML, and this league seems even more inconsistent.

I left out Hornchurch as they have built in weanesses at the back which will cost them at least another 8 points across the season and it is just possible that will be too many

Plus GB has a lovely habit of fading with the Christmas Dec!s, not a snide remark but based on circa five seasons history

 

I would say however that with their apparent hunger for bigger things they could wave the wad and put things right, maybe just too late

Canvey to fall at the final fence. I am going by the form book, Canvey have no stamina over this course and distance i'm afraid.

Hornchurch will be in the shake up come the end, probably coming through on the rails to pip a late push from Kettering.

Experience is something good to have. We've been in this situation before and know the pain of falling at the final hurdle. I don't think we've entirely got going yet and can improve further. We have Junior Mcdougald still to make an appearance and I think the defence looks much stronger this season.
