Yeovil Game

I have just visited the Yeovil Forum and their messages indicate that the pitch is in a state again! Even though the pitch is covered at present, it sounds like the pitch got a good soaking before the covers could be put in place.

A delay would allow them to get over a hard game and some injury problems after yesterdays visit to Doncaster.

But IF the game got called off on Tuesday and IF it were re-arranged for Saturday, it would mean that we could take a lot more Yellow Army down to Yeovil. I think that could make quite a difference to the team's performance.
Merv CIFC

Depends when the Yeovil game gets called off. If we hear this afternoon (Sunday) that it is off, rest assured Wayne Purser and/or Frances will be on the phone to Heybridge. However, we all know how late some of these games get called off - probably have a pitch inspection at about 7 o'clock on Tuesday night.
Yeovil have asked for volunteers to go along to Huish Park this morning to help cover the pitch, but if it is already soaked, I don't suppose it will help much.
Merv CIFC

After many phone calls this evening the home clash against Heybridge "WILL" GO AHEAD if the Yeovil game is off. (Pitch inspection 11.30).

Obviously due to lack of time and notice you may need to inform certain people of this arrangement so we can get a crowd of some sort.
Wayne

the pitch is only 70 % covered as the bits that are uncovered we dont have a problem with as the water drains on these parts

we want the game on with the form we are in at the moment but it does not look good as it has been pouring down for hours here
