Combined Counties Division 1 - Promotion update 21-02-12

Guernsey FC – Played 28 –76 points, remaining games (6 at home), PPG - 2.71 maximum points available – 94 points, current goal difference +93.

Bedfont Sports – Played 26 – 63 points, remaining games (5 at home, 3 away), PPG – 2.42

maximum points available – 87 points, current goal difference +46.

Hartley Wintney – Played 24 – 53 points, remaining games (3 at home, 7 away) PPG – 2.21

maximum points available – 83 points, current goal difference +40.

Warlingham – Played 26 – 53 points, remaining games (4 at home, 4 away) PPG – 2.04

maximum points available – 77 points, current goal difference +27.

Spelthorne Sports – Played 24 – 46 points, remaining games (4 at home, 6 away) PPG – 1.91

maximum points available – 76 points, current goal difference +22.

A further 2 points from any of Guernsey’s remaining 6 games would surpass Spelthorne Sports (max 76 points), Warlingham (max 77 points) irrespective of all future results and guarantee them a top 3 finish.

Mathematically, that would only leave Bedfont Sports (max 87 points),

Hartley Wintney (max 83 points), who could overtake Guernsey.

You must take into consideration that it is highly likely any one of them will achieve maximum points by the end of the season, due to the fact that there is only a maximum 3 points available in any match still to be played, where they are playing one another.

Guernsey’s remaining games:

HOME – South Kilburn, CB Hounslow Und, Bookham, Bedfont Sports, Staines Lammas, Spelthorne Sports.

Bedfont Sport’s remaining games:

HOME – Cobham, Eversley, Farleigh Rovers, H/Wintney, Staines Lammas.

AWAY – Frimley Green, Guernsey, Westfield.

Hartley Wintney’s remaining games:

HOME – Farleigh Rovers, Sheerwater, Warlingham.

AWAYBedfont Sports, Bookham, CB Hounslow Und, Eversley, Spelthorne Sports, Warlingham, Worcester Park.

Warlingham’s remaining games:

HOME –CB Hounslow Und, Eversley, H/Wintney, Knaphill

AWAY - H/Wintney, South Kilburn,Staines Lammas, Worcester Park.

Interesting it's all too play for

EXACTLY THAT !

At this time of the season the proof is in the pudding..................CCL Div,1 ''all to play for'' 2nd and 3rd places for promotion to the Premier + relegation battles.

Boring CCL Premier after Windsors last 2 results, its really Guildfords to lose. So the excitement now concentrates on the relegation battle for survival......now that just can't be right can it !!!

It looks as though Guernsey dont have a game next saturday so is there next fixture v Bookham? If this is the case then if they win that will they be crowned champions?

Bedfont play twice before guernsey next play, so if they keep winning league will not be over until GFC play Bedfont. game v bookham will be interesting as the island team have a Muratti semi-final on the same day..

Hartley Hare:

Don't want to go against the stats but Hartley are the best side in Div 1 at the moment"

That statement should make your game at Bedfont Sports a week tomorrow very interesting.

Great run in, and some cracking games, I wouldn't be surprised if Eversley nicked 3rd place looking at the run in.

EVERSLEY were barracked as they left the pitch on saturday. showed no will to win only not lose. not sure how baker is rated so high by people. i go to watch games most days this made me feel as though i had wasted 2 hours.

Not necessarily, if Bedfont win next week and the week after, Guernsey would have to win the game after to seal it, which would be against Bedfont - what a game that would be!

Whoops! Who was that then? Zico got one game ban (for two yellows) which he had served?
