Looks like contact just below the knee to me GD with your defender's knee.Take off those rose tinted specs and look at it more closely. I would reiterate that I would bet my life on Mark Morgan not play acting. You don`t have to take my word for it....but it would be a pleasant surprise if you did!

Just back from the Guernsey trip and a great victory for our boys. To say i am disappointed with some of the Guernsey posters comments is an understatement.

We were the better side on the day, pressed you high up the pitch, gave you no time and stopped your supply to Allen. Collectively I thought we out worked and out fought you. At 2 nil up after 50 minutes we had a great chance to go 3 up with a whipped cross which managed somehow to slip past our three players in the box for a tap in.Tardiff pulled off a great save to deny Baker as well.

Did our keeper have many saves to make? The answer is no!

Did Guernsey miss any sitters? The answer is no!

Our penalty was a foul, simple as that. I have known Mark Morgan for 5 years now and he is far too honest to dive. He also has a gash just below his knee resulting from this reckless challenge as I am sure tv footage will bear out.

A lot has ben said of the referee's performance but in my opinion Zico Black was lucky to stay on the pitch. Having been booked in the first half a couple of late tackles in the second were worthy of a booking. Our centre back could have been sent off but so could yours with two fouls on the outside of the box when the last man.

Timewasting? We were winning the game, what do expect us to do...hurry everything for your benefit? Get real!

I have no doubt as your climb up the pyramid system there will be a game in the next few years...probably in the FA Cup when Guernsey will be the underdogs and the shoe will be on the other foot.

The Guernsey committee, players and people we met last night showed real class and were exceptionally gracious in defeat as they were in victory when they beat us in August, its a real shame the same can`t be said for some of the posters on here in the last 24 hours.

Well here's the footage you obviously don't know him that well cos here the d.......

I never said he dived, thought at the time he tripped over his own feet or the ball and hurt himself, dont think he or his teammates claimed a penalty.

Unable to view the footage as i'm travelling today.

GD - Apologies that we have benefitted from a poor decision for the penalty (as per your post above)

What were your thoughts on the other decisions discussed in this thread:

1) Potential red card for our defender (penalty incident)?

2) Your players red card?

3) The tackle that resulted in our player being stretchered off?

4) Foul on our forward when clean through, but offside given?

Hopefully I'll be able to view tomorrow

1) Thought your player should have been sent off as he was the last man and it was a goalscoring opportunity

2) Our players red card ( 2 yellows ) haven't spoke to Jacques yet but Red card was probably right

3) They didn't show it on TV and I honestly didn't see it ( I sound like Arsene Wenger here I know ! )

4) I didn't know what the hell was going there ! it was all a bit bizaree ! Not sure !

I've answered as honestly as I can so no backlash please, this is how I saw it !

Thanks for the reply.

My view at the time was that Allen was going away from goal and possibly the ball was running away from him. Pleased the tv cameras will let me have another look at it.

Also thought your player was walking a tightrope and the foul was quite deliberate.

Shame they didn't pick up some of the other incidents.

Hope you get back to winning says at Egham tomorrow night

Thanks mate, I'm sorry for my posts about the ref and other stuff but we all say stuff we regret at times. It was all in the heat of the moment.

You did deserve the win as you were the better side. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I need to learn to keep my gob shut more ! lol

Will have my say too, if that's ok?

BBC coverage showed a bit more action.

1, thought at the time ir was a red especially with a referee giving out cards like it was Christmas, tv overage didn't change my mind

2, thought once booked he was on dodgy ground, but same for many other players on both sides

3, sorry did not see it, but hope your player is ok?

4, guess if it was offside that's the first offence?

What kind of magic spray does your physio use? Your right back went down injured, physio treated him, signalled for a sub, then player makes an astounding recovery. Sorry but that sportsmanship belongs with the big boys in the Premier League.

I did not boo your players or agree with anyone doing it, but it was not for beating us which I congratulate you but for the manner in which it was obtained. Constant time wasting which went unpunished by the referee and for the unsporting behaviour of some of your players, as indicated in previous paragraph.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Think there were several injuries picked up during the game. We thought the right back was coming off. However the physio was a bit quick to signal for a sub.

The foul on the player that was stretchered off was quite nasty from my angle.

The time wasting could be levied at both teams. In the first half the young ball boys delayed the game on three occasions. I understand it was not deliberate, but the end result is still the same. It's worth remembering that our players are used to catching a quick breather when the ball goes out of play. The multi-ball obviously prevents this, but I didn't think we were too excessive with the time taken to re-start play. I can see that it is frustrating though, when you are chasing the game.

Quick question,is it the same 4th official at all your games? He wasn't very helpful when we needed to make a sub for the lad stretchered off, stating that we hadn't pre-warned him.......sorry we should have known our player was going to get injured! This resulted in us playing with 10 for a couple of mins. Also said it was ok for Tony to walk onto the pitch to talk to his player. Very strange character

We noticed the ball boys too, they were the worst I have seen. To be fair every other game they have been fair to both sides to get the match going again. Different ones each game.

Not sure who the fourth official was this week. Know a foreign sounding chap has done a few of the games. I have pointed out previously that I thought the referee gave far too many poor decisions against both teams.

Time wasting isn't an offence under the laws of the game is it - if a player is injured no time is "wasted" as the Ref stops his watch

4th official !!! why are you having 4th officials?? are they league supplied or is it a local referee?

Whatever, it is outrageous, no other ccl game carries a 4th official, why in Guernsey?

If that is the case then eversley are quite right to complain if he was dragging his feet, there shouldn't be one and substitutions should be the responsibility of the bench side assistant as with all other ccl games.

Come in Whitelaw !!

Pretty sure we had 4th officials at AFC Wimbledon home games in the CCL, can't remember if away games as well. Not sure why though, if other games don't have them.

I've not been out there Smudge and hadn't seen it mentioned

TRS - I've no doubt your right about afc as well, BUT WHY, the size of the crowd has nothing to do with 4th official. he simply sorts the benches and substitutions, yet another little plus for 'Big Time' Guernsey.

I'm with you Newby, rapidly going off our pampered colonials !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
