Yep, unfortunately Potters Bar don't have much to play for. The way I look at it is that we've got nothing to lose next weekend and can treat it as a rehearsal for the play-offs - a one-off match we have to win. It's nice to be able to keep the 'match intensity' up leading into likely play-off games.

Agreed, its all about momentum when the play-offs start. A team putting a run together and getting 5th can easily upset a deflated team just missing out on automatic promotion. Todays performance/result is just what we needed. Superb!

Great opportunity next Saturday for the club to have discounted season tickets on offer for 2012 - 2013. 5% discount if you make a pledge to buy one. Worth a thought.

i have wondered for a while if we are going to miss out by just a point or two. especially as we have, lets put it this way, a disappointing play off record.

 

Dear All,

Let's not start the negative thought just yet.

 

The thread is called Dare to Believe - not dare to think about defeat.

Beat Leiston and we are ONE point behind.

Win at Grays and we will be on 90 points and Leiston will on 88 needing a WIN against Potters Bar while we are at Grays .

Squeekey Bum for Leiston, perhaps.

 

One game at a time.

We need to Believe and turn up in our 100's next week.

Beat Leiston next weekend and the dream rolls on to the final day of the season!

 

Grays may need a win/draw to secure a play off spot on that day. What a game that would be? If Grays do get in play offs they prob gonna finish 5th so it could be a dress rehersal for a play off semi at the DD??

 

And on their day PBT can beat anyone...only narrowly lost at Tilbury today.

 

It's still firmly in Leiston's hands but as the saying goes football is a funny old game?
