Not playing a proper goalkeeper was always going to be a 'pointless' exercise. It's a shame that a club which once produced a goalie that became a European Cup Winner with Manchester United has been reduced to doing so.

I disliked that to$$er who was their manager,sadly,tw@ts like him can have a lasting effect on ones view on a team.

We had a 'lucky' 4-0 against them with two of the worst penalties that their manager, Steve 'Harry Enfield' King had seen in his life. Curiously enough very shortly afterwards they got knocked out of the FA Trophy by Harlow with the worst penalty that Steve King had ever seen in his life. Bit of a theme there.

The worst penalty I ever saw was one given against Daniel van Buyten, then of Man City and now of Bayern (though not a regular), for merely brushing (if that) Alan Smith (of Leeds) on the edge of the box. (Not saying Smith dived.) To make matters worse, he got a straight red, which is ridiculous when Collina didn't send off Rustu for nearly taking Kieron Dyer's head off - outside the box - just because Alpay was one yard nearer the goal.
