Best Keeper

Wastell at South Park & Shelly (don't know where he's playing atm) been out the game 18 months but they were the 2 that stood out. Also the RPV keeper from a few seasons ago (on TRS's videos)

On his day I‘d take my keeper at Banstead (Jeff Mukoro) over most. The WP keeper a few mentioned is I think Tom Derry who has I think come on massively the last couple of seasons. In the prem I‘d be surprised if anyones better than Wastell although cannot claim to have seen them all!

Mayor thanks for the shout but I believe I've been consistent but not the best, stoney is a decent keeper but gets involved to much like when he run the length of the field to in on a punch up on the edge my box between egham and chertsey.chatfield still puts in great performances, wester at molesey is decent considering he's had very little coaching, Dane buss at BSFC is a fantastic shot stopper for his size, terry buss formerly of villa is superb all round, Borg at egham has been a great signing and sorely missed by Epsom.

I haven't seen all the keepers in this league but we also have a young keeper I'm working with and he is decent but I'm not quite ready to give up my shirt;-)

Pearcy I'm happy that was able to have such a massive influence on your ability during your short time at Godalming, and I'm still trying to work out how you pulled off that save in the warm up that left me Chris Dyke and everyone else who seen it in complete amazement :P All the best mate and keep it going

Was it not Justin Gray in goal for Chertsey last night ? He is one of the best keepers I have ever seen at Step 5. Borg is bloody useful too. For all round fun though got to be Wastell. Great lad with some great one liners that you just cannot help but laugh at.

Yes Kroons it was Justin in goal. He did have a good game but to be honest (and without taking anything away from him) I reckon you could have played in goal for them and only conceded 1 goal as we hardly troubled him!

Blimey you ARE old Carthorse!

Which reminds me, no one ever tells keepers the most important part of the job is how to deal with away fans giving you grief from behind the goal. Chats is a master of this, always got a witty retort ready to fire back at his assailants. usually by the end of the game, the away fans are clapping him off and wanting to buy him a beer. Which he gladly accepts! :)

Yes Getting Old! Thanks! Its the same with Wastell the more they wind him up the better he plays , remember last season Windsor winding him up and he had a blinder. Also North Greenford a few years back when the fans gave him some stick ,when he came out of goal and went up front for Town.

Wastell and Shelley for me. Have played with both of them behind me ;) and found both to be extremely reliable. For consistency, id go with the big man Wazza.

Biased, of course, but Paul Borg is a superb keeper - most of the time. He has dropped a couple of clangers but he is capable of pulling off astonishing saves seconds later. He doesn't seem to let pressure get to him. Even when we lost five goals at Guernsey he was the reason we did not let more in, and must have prevented at least another three going in.
