Just received a phone call from the ground.

Still 2" of snow covering the whole pitch. Majority of pitch still frozen solid beneath the snow.

Another provisional inspection planned for p.m., tomorrow, Friday.

Just got back from our ground

Pitch still fully covered with a couple inches of snow. Pitch seems ok underneath but any thaw will leave it waterlogged in places but dont really want to remove the snow as its protecting it from the frost we are getting & then the pitch will be frozen & unplayable......cant win either way

Just out of interest, if Rye v Guernsey is on, when would it be rescheduled for? Tuesday 29th?

Probably Saturday Feb 2nd. Tunbridge Wells v Dunston has been postponed until then. They were going to try for Sunday 27th but that's been shelved now.

Just a question for Hanworth/Sandhurst posters now that the League have arranged a standby game for Guernsey this coming Saturday.

Have the League contacted either of your Clubs,to have a fixture this Saturday,if Hanworth Villa's Vase game gets postponed at Walsall Wood, which is just as likely to fall foul of the weather,as is Rye.I am of the belief that you were due to meet this weekend.

Forecast looks all good, we have been due frost but hasn't materialised plus Saturday temperatures should get up to 5, real good chance for most games

I think some games will go ahead but those pitches with clay type bases and poorer drainage will struggle.

Almost certain Windsor vs Hartley Wintney WILL be on. Snow cleared by groundstaff today and just enough give in it to have had a light roll already.

Possibility of some light rain Saturday which shouldn't be an issue but midweek games next week could suffer with very heavy rain forecast for Sunday !

I know you have lost a load of weight lately Steve so who was used this time to roll the pitch? The GM by any chance?
