hburton28
Abingdon United lost 1-0 at home to Didcot Town yesterday in an evo stik south and west oxfordshire derby. The first half was fairly even with the best chances falling to Abingdon's Toby Nowell. Didcot had Mark Janes sent off on 40 minutes for an off the ball incident. In the second half Abingdon never got going and a long ball over the top found Sam Elkins who chipped it over the on rushing goalie and poked it into the net to make it 1-0 Didcot. Abingdon's only real shot came in the 93rd minute when Aaron Woodley's shot hit the post and went wide off the goalkeeper. Overall a fair result as Abingdon just didn't get going.
