Midweek Fixtures - 8th/9th/10th/11th April

Recommended Posts

I think both teams rested a few for the big games tomorrow.

Absolutely correct. Both sides played a lot of youngsters and for our part it was great experience for them and showed the manager who may be able to step up for next season. There was a lot of good football played by both sides . Colney always had the upper hand but we gave a good account considering something like 9 changes from Saturdays staring line up and possibly a whole new team for tonight. I think we will play the under 10's against Tring on Thursday !!! No disrespect to Tring but the League cannot do this and seriously expect teams to field proper teams, absolute joke !! 5 games in 8 days !!

We had 5 U17s playing on Saturday and 4 last night.

Looks good for the future . I thought you played very well . PS where were you ? I hope I didn't ignore you all night !!

Yes we have had a few U18s players in our squads in recent weeks its all good experience for them.

The words common and sense come to mind.Lets hope the incoming fixture secretary has heard of those words in the same sentance.

You got more chance of getting four points for beating Stony tonight Lee than common sense out of this lot.

And whether it be 3 games in 4 days of 5 in 8, on bone hard pitches A&E could be a little busier than expected.

That's the problem though, his best position has turned out to be centre half and most teams at higher levels would overlook him because of his size. A bit like Daniel Mead - fantastic left back but pint sized!

problem? Sounds like a solution for you Greenduck!

Other news...monumental win for Hillingdon agasinst Dunstable Town Reserves!

Our game kicked off at 6.30pm just got it over before total darkness. Conceding a last minute equaliser in the dark was a kick in the teeth but both teams had to deal with it equally but It does make a mockery of the game for everyone concerned

Totally agree, the last 15 minutes were ridiculous. The ref appeared to be adamant to finish, another ref may have called a halt to it. Complete shambles to play games with this time kick off.

If he called a halt to it with 15 mins to go ud of had to replay it just like tring and Aston have to do after last week, Karen what's the ruling on how much of a game can be played for result to stand??? Maybe a suggestion for 615 ko like the other 2 games should be made by the league so it finishes when U can see what your doing??
