If he called a halt to it with 15 mins to go ud of had to replay it just like tring and Aston have to do after last week, Karen what's the ruling on how much of a game can be played for result to stand??? Maybe a suggestion for 615 ko like the other 2 games should be made by the league so it finishes when U can see what your doing??

6:30 was the time of k.o advised by the league for all games

3-0 cockfosters ! ... Wonder if the one time legend Fabio Valenti played himself again? ...

If you dont know him - google him. Player.

Scrappy 3 points from Sun but still its 3 points!

And congrates to Dunstable Town - at the money well spent on the SSML premier title! :) great achievement!

A Groundhoppers Views

London Lions (1) 7, Langford (0) 0

SSML 1 (played at Hemel Hempstead Town)

Admission £6 / £3 incl programme (That never arrived)

Attendance 25

The amazing thing about this game was that Lions took 45 minutes to score their first goal. They were denied by a few good saves and some poor finishing. Once ahead the second half was really one way traffic with goals at regular times. Could and should have been double figures against a poor but enthusiastic Langford side that wilted under the barrarge!

No programme tonight but I had one from the original postponed game, so not too bothered.

2 other games ignored the league and took it on themselves to get kicked off at 615 and got there games done by the sound of it

We got our game done as well though. The issue being you shouldn't have to re-arrange times, it was obvious 6:30 kick offs were too late.

On Saturday we had games at 1pm and 4pm at on home, not enough time to sort out changing rooms.

Another huge 3 points for our reserve side tonight. Going to be a very tense end to the season for the second string at Lowfield.

2-0 down to get back to 2-2 only to concede in the last minute. First goal was poor defending from a throw in, allowed their midfielder to get the ball unmarked and placed it in the bottom corner. Second goal was a mistake by our goalkeeper, tried to palm it wide but ended up pushing it against his own post and into the net. Pretty much scored straight away to make it 2-1 and really pushed on. We then equalised with a header from yours truly from a free kick in the 88th minute. Got a bit anxious and started going a bit crazy, allowed their midfielder to play it into their striker who got lucky with the shot, deflecting off yours truly and into the bottom corner.

London Tigers aren't as poor as people make them out to be. They're technically good players who aren't afraid to use tricks and pass the ball. They struggle physically and we dominated from set pieces. I can see why they have been beaten a lot this season, by phyiscal sides but fair play to them, no bad behaviour or anything and had the decency to accept they got a lucky win and a point was deserved for both points.

Next target, don't finish bottom

Tuesday 9th April

PREMIER DIVISION

5-0 Hanwell Town v Colney Heath

An even game up until we got our first goal then there was only going to be one winner. Im told that Colney heath were playing a lot of youngsters and they did a good job in the firsthalf but struggled in the second half even Colney Heaths G.Draper could not get any more effort out of the youngsters.

But im well happy with the win, 5 goals and a clean sheet.

Due to there not being a Bedford poster on the forum this hasn't yet been mentioned.

I'd like to draw attention to the terrific run of form Bedford are on. 9 wins n the bounce, with 16 wins in last 18! That is a fantastic figure- two of those wins being against Harpenden and Hoddesdon.

Considering their run of form and their run in (NBSP, Chesham, Cockfosters, Welwyn, Stony) could they be outside contenders for promotion?

Maximum points Bedford can achieve is 80 with both Hoddesdon Town and London Lions currently on 79 and Cockfosters on 77 think a promotion place is beyond them - but full credit for their remarkable run - hopefully it will end on Wednesday 24th April :P

Our game kicked off at 6.30pm just got it over before total darkness. Conceding a last minute equaliser in the dark was a kick in the teeth but both teams had to deal with it equally but It does make a mockery of the game for everyone concerned

Adie - don't think I have seen 2 scrappier goals with a combined distance of 2 yards before.

As a Bedford 'poster' (New to the forum) I'd like to thank you for your kind comments and observations. We are on a remarkable run (with a county cup win in the middle of this) and are working hard to keep it going. If only we were able to pick up a few more wins during our awful start to the season we may have been looking at promotion. Next year will have to be our target now.
