Southall not in the FA Cup ?

Due to the change in the structure of The FA Cup, the number of clubs accepted is lower than last season. The number of club’s exempt to the First Round Qualifying and Preliminary Round has been increased due to the increased number of clubs that will be playing at Step 3 and 4 of The FA National League System.

As a result, the Extra Preliminary Round, contested by Step 5 and 6 clubs, requires fewer ties and therefore a higher number of clubs that competed at Step 6 last season had to be rejected. This was done on their points per game average from last season.

As per this season, clubs outside top four that have applied for entry into the FA Cup are judged on the Points Per Game ratio over the season, the only difference this season is being the reduction on accepted clubs by the FA (see earlier post) also see

I see that a few sides that were in the Cup last year have not been listed this year.

Is this to do with the expansion of Step 4?

Okay, thanks, I missed that, Hillingdon Borough allowed them to enter the competition then unlike Potters Bar Town in 2005/2006 when the Club groundshared at Parkfield

People need to let the whole vase thing and Amersham go. Chris Martin did the crime and has paid for it trust me. Any manager who says they have never in their time ever had to play a ringer when they have been stuck is a liar.
