Blackz 62
Last blog of the season now up - although I couldn't go yesterday, I hope there's still enough to read - especially with various awards being erm... awarded! You've probably been bored stiff with my blogs & me expressing my thanks - but I'm going to say thanks one more time for everyone who has read & put up with me and my ramblings - forever grateful. Proud to be a Margate fan, but even prouder to have made the friends I've made at the club - it's an honour to know you all. Here's hoping for a successful 2014/2015 season Up The Gate! michael 98
Thanks to yourself as well for doing the blogs-and look forward to more of the same next season. as for your end of season summary-again agree that alot of progress has been made under TB/SC -albeit Simon Osborn was doing a decent job as well i thought, and if you measure progress by league position-i think we were 11th wne Simon Osborn left -and we finished -but yep looking forward-very optimistic-albeit my personal sights are not necessarily on promotion next season-trusting Mr Laslett has a bit more patience that Mr Piper-i think it will take probably two seasons to 'get up' a but historic ,but like yourself-i was hoping that it would be Guernsey who joined us in the premiership,in terms of good away days/nights-the beaches in leatherhead fall a bit short of those in guernsey. michael 98
well Mr Kinnear has taken a team up in a season and a half-so maybe my sights are a bit too low. Never been keen on promotion anyway, all the time the infrastructure was/is falling short, but now that real progress and an even greater professional approach is being taken off field, my own ambitions have been elevated. Just the same-reaching the play-oofs for me is completely meaningless-if you win them a la douvres-fine,but you might as well finish17th if you don't win the play-offs;so for me-its win the leagueoutright-or don't bother. maybe next season remains a step too far to win the league. I could take finishing top half next season and winning the league outright in 2015/16. that given-as i post-now wevlook better placed off pitch-if we were to win the league 2014/15-i could live with that now
Blackz 62
Blog regarding Terry Scott's U11's v David Woodgate's U12 side now up - was great to watch! TBOReporting 2
Ryan Moss is a great signing and I think he could push Margate into the PlayOffs at least this season, he spoke to me about why he left Kingstonian to join up and his expectations for the season - http://wp.me/p2L9rU-8p michael and Blue Banshee
Eastside Urchin 991
Anyone who thinks Margate one player will push margate into the play offs is totally deluded, the rest of the players will push them to the league title by early march Blue Banshee

Blackz 62
Thanks for the kind words, Terry & EU - I've not been lucky enough to have the blog featured in the match day programme as yet, but as long as people enjoy reading it, that's all I care about really
Eastside Urchin 991
Would think extracts of the blog at least could be of interest to most programme readers!!! Programmes often struggle for content and you usually have words from the captain, chairman, manager etc but never see much from the fans which is always odd I feel
Blackz 62
Thanks EU - it's a really good programme at the moment in fairness - they've been including tweets from fans in there. Well worth a read, if you're into your programmes & down here when we play you guys in January!
