Ashford win at Wood

Alan and John Hughes were key figures in the formative years of the club - Alan was secretary for many years, while his brother, John, was not only a prolific goalscorer but the Blackpool fan who inspired the choice of tangerine shirts when Ashford Albion changed their name to Ashford Town.

Alan Hughes comes back to see us every now and again but now lives down at Bude in Cornwall.  John, also known as Sam, still lives in Staines as far as I know.

Another pair of brothers, more recently, are Stuart and Ryan Lake, although without looking it up, I can't remember if they played at the same time.  Going back to 1966-67, we had Graham and Alistair Atkin.

I seem to recall that Anthony Eggington's brother (name escapes me) also played a few games for the Reserves.  There was also Dave and John White who played in the mid 80's, plus Pat and Dave Munns and John and Keith Lawther and the Antoniazzi brothers.  There was also Scott Todd and his brother and Richard Butler and his brother.  I'm sure there's quite a few more.
