Holyport Rebel it was funny at the last away game at Enfield i went to pay for the concession ticket and was asked how old are you so got my driving license card out to show the lady my age 😅 🤣🤣.

I'd be flattered if I was asked to 'prove' my age.

Sadly, that has never happened. 😄

And the cricket season is only 6 months.

Amazing all the chat about not enough money to get in better players and as soon as the discussion turns to season ticket prices soar at another club which goes towards getting those players ìn everyone are in uproar.

Well you can not have one without the other.

Well Steven the county games last 4 days I'm watching world class cricketers Cheaper beer as I take my own in plus my seat is padded

Well you can not have one without the other.

You can if you have wealthy owners or other means of raising income.

I'm not sure advertising a clubs budget to the world is a wise thing to do.

Competitive to me means a mid table budget.

It's not a secret that our budget is one of the lowest (maybe the lowest) in the division.

And even if it was, the club would be foolish to be anything other than honest about the budget with any potential manager during the interview.

I think with Enfield gone ours could be the lowest now. I think everyone of us has to accept if we stay up we’ve done remarkably well.

Of course any potential manager will be made aware of the budget they would have to work with.

Our budget may have been one of the lowest, who knows maybe our budget for next season will be increased?

That's fine if you can afford to pay more, not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to.

Well as i say we can only afford a certain type of player with the season ticket price that the majority of supporters can afford if we don't want to pay more then don't complain if the experienced players will not come or we can not keep the ones we have…

Your argument is null and void because putting the season ticket prices up to any great degree will not enable us to buy or keep the better players.

The wealthier teams have far more money than us regardless of our ticket prices and if you over price our s/tickets you'll just alienate supporters and you'll end up with less support and less money.

We are in the pecking order and that means will have to accept no higher than where we just finished 25/26 season that will do for me.

Well said , some people on here sounding like West Ham or Tottenham fans thinking they DERSERVE more . Every club has its natural position , based on its History and Fanbase , and just occasionally on a temporary deluded sugar daddy .
Like some teams in the Prem who need to accept they are not fixtures but yo-yo teams and just enjoy the upswings , we need to remember that in the last 25 years we are currently operating at our highest level.
I was nervous when a legend like Steve Bateman was replaced by some lower league managers .

i was gutted when Bakes and Unders were replaced with an untried player manger

I’m apprehensive about the coming season under new regime .

But if we continue the way we have developed we will be fine . if not then I’ve enjoyed the ride getting here and will enjoy it all over again.

thats REAL football

Agree with what you say Stan.

I'll just add that our owners have a different vision for the club, full time challenging for promotion etc.

How they're going to get there is any ones guess.

Well said Stan, other than the bit about  Steve Bateman being replaced by lower league managers…. Bakes & Unders were at Godalming who had just finished above Slough in a play-off place.

Another year in the NLS it is for HMS Piss-the-league. Hornchurch 3-2 Torquay United

Wow wasn’t expecting that! Little old Hornchurch in the NL, they will have the worst ground to ever grace that division! Maybe some Torquay fans will now admit they’re not so great and accept it instead of thinking they don’t deserve to be at this level.
