FF News
Walid Abeid has completed his move to Northern League Division One club Durham City following receipt of his international clearance. Brother of the Newcastle United midfielder Mehdi Abeid, he joined Fulham in 2010 from French Ligue side St Etienne. He plays in an attacking midfield position, mainly on the left side, and can also play behind a striker. The former French youth international, who also had trials with Middlesbrough in 2012, made his debut as a substitute in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Billingham Synthonia. Manager Ian Chandler is very happy with the signing, and said: "Walid is an electric winger with great skill, his flair will be a big plus to our team and I look forward to seeing him in a Durham City shirt."
