FF News
Conference club Wrexham have lodged an appeal over a straight red card shown to young midfielder Robbie Evans. The sending off came in the seventh minute of added time during the first-half of Tuesday'sConference game with Bristol Rovers. The FAW will now review the evidence this afternoon, with a decision likely to be announced either this evening or tomorrow. As in all cases, the sending off will remain on the player's record, but the appeal is over whether a three-match ban is a suitable punishment for the incident. At present, Evans stands to miss out on the FA Cup Second Round tie with Maidstone United, the FA Trophy First Round visit to Southport and then the home Conference game with Dartford, subject to any cup replays.
