FF News
Boreham Wood have announced the re-signing of Lewis Toomey from Conference South rivals Hemel Hempstead Town. The 23-year-old striker have previously played for Kings Langley, Chalfont St Peter, St Albans City and Hitchin Town. Manager Ian Allinson commented: "Everyone knows I like players who work hard, players who are team players and players who have pace. I also need a squad that can adapt to the pressures of leading this league and though it's been great fun being top, we are now entering unchartered waters, with many predicting we will fade away. "That can of course happen but it's not something we're planning for. Lewis Toomey fits the DNA of my squad, he is young, hungry and can play up top in a two or down the sides, he knows the club, he knows both me and many of the players. "He'll know what we'll expect and the intensity that we train at. In truth he knows, I never wanted him to leave in 2013 but he did and he did very well while at Hemel. "I believe he comes back a more mature person and better player, he's experienced being a champion last season, so he'll be a wiser individual and know his strengths and weaknesses."
